I don't think it's personal although Jerry might remember that one time you spurned him. Big mistake theebs

must be that.

ironically it was parcells who said recently that jerry only had camp in san antonio because of his sponsorship deals and the amount of money he made.

it just makes me irritated that other teams are having camp at home now. that giants thing is a real downer. Sucks for albany also.

did u guys know the saints allow fans at their ota's?

what the hell.

The jones family wont even have training camp in the state where his team plays and all his season ticket holders are....

Once upon a time a guy named Murchison didn't have camp in Texas either. That Thousand Oaks thing worked out pretty good according to Mr Landry

broaddus said he was told by scouts and some of the staff a few weeks ago that McCray might be the best special teamer they have ever had....

?

McCray is good on ST, but he wouldn't probably have had a spot on the Cowboys ST under Jimmy and Avezzano. Bill Bates and Kenny Gant were truly exceptional ST players. There were others during that time too.

completely understand.

my beef is that part of the package that was sold (like in NY) was that a facility, fields and a hall of fame would be part of the complex with the stadium. Training camp was to be here as it was sold to us.

its 2013, we are in california for the next few years and the giants are now using their own facility for camp, which allows their local fans who pay all the bills and keep the lights on an easy car ride to watch them practice.

it sucks.

Wasn't there a story about the Cowboy looking into building new practice digs and leaving Valley Ranch?

I wonder if they build some state of the art facilities with plenty of space if they might move training camp to Dallas

No, I'm not theebing to theeb.

The team justifies McCray's awful play in the Secondary by saying what a Special Teams ace he is. After we signed Frampton, I noticed him being much more involved and active than McCray.

As far as Broaddus, he's been about 50/50 lately. He is either dead on or dead wrong. There doesn't seem to be any in between with him.

McCray is a special teams ace.... IF he's allowed to focus on that.

He sucks at safety. Last year instead of focusing on ST, he had to get in on the regular defense. His ST play fell as a result.

thats valley ranch though, we were told during the camaigning to vote for the stadium that they were going to put everything in arlington.....

now they are out politicing about leaving valley ranch while ignoring the lie they told to get the stadium built.

I imagine jerry is looking for some sort of favor by putting it out there that he is ready to leave irving-valley ranch.

by the time the jones family is done the cowboys we all loved will be nothing but a memory.

Hardly any mention of Tom Landry for any reason ever, texas stadium is gone, valley ranch will soon be gone.....

the only images and statues in the future will be of jerry....A guy who does a terrible job and nobody likes.

pretty sad.

Archer OTA Observations

IRVING, Texas – The final open organized team activity to the media came and went Tuesday with Jerry Jones kicking off a storm that led an awkward announcement of Bill Callahan as play caller, but there was more to the day than just that.

Here are some observations from the practice.

** In three straight goal line plays in one-on-one drills Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Dwayne Harris came up with touchdowns on Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne and Sterling Moore. Bryant’s touchdown was the best of the lot, leaping high to pluck a Kyle Orton throw over Carr, who was in terrific position. Williams beat Claiborne on a slant. Harris cradled an Orton pass that was just out of Moore’s reach with his left hand while keeping his feet inbounds.

** With Jay Ratliff sitting out and Robert Callaway done for the year because of knee surgery, Nick Hayden was the starting 3-technique on Tuesday. Hayden signed with the Cowboys after last season and has played for Carolina and Cincinnati.

** TE Gavin Escobar is supposed to be a red-zone threat and he was able to come down with a TD on a Nick Stephens throw on a bootleg play. The defense completely bought the fake, leaving Escobar wide open. Tuesday’s practice might have been Stephens’ best but he still has a long way to go. His passes sometimes float too much

** WR Cole Beasley gave whoever was matched up on him fits in team and seven-on-seven drills. His quickness makes him a tough out in the slot, but he is limited as a slot player for the time being mostly because of his size.

** RB DeMarco Murray does a nice job in the screen game. He balanced patience with urgency in two end-of-game screens as he got up the field after setting up his blocks. On the first play, however, C Travis Frederick might have been called for a facemask penalty on S Barry Church. G Ronald Leary did a nice job leading the way on the second screen.

** LB Bruce Carter is a sick athlete. He was able to drop into coverage and knock down an Orton pass to Bryant as if he had been playing weak-side linebacker forever. If Carter and Sean Lee can stay healthy, the Cowboys defense has a chance to be better than it’s been.

** From the ho-hum department, TE Jason Witten made a nice leaping grab down the seam while being bracketed by Lee and Church.

** LB Caleb McSurdy forced a fumble on Escobar after an in cut. Escobar was able to gather the ball, but the rookie will have to tougher with the football.

The interior DL depth is worrisome. If Hargrove doesn't pan out...we could be in deep shit.

Hopefully Hargrove can be the next Alonzo Spellman for us.

BTW, I never understood how Spellman went from being a top 3 DT his first season with us and then a JAG the next year.
