Yeah, the Chiefs got a second for Gonzalez when he was 33. I don't see why we wouldn't get at least that.

Jerry is never going to trade a potential HOFer that he drafted. But I agree that we need to do more of trading old players for draft picks. That's something we almost never do.

I think Jerry is so happy when he drafts a good player that he doesn't want to get rid of one of his successes.

When has Jerry been anxious to get rid of anybody? Sensabaugh has stuck around here half of his career.

I was all for us drafting Randle even long before April, but I don't think Randle is going to be very impressive looking. He's not a flashy player like, say, Felix was. I don't think he has a huge upside. He's just a good, solid, all-around player who has a little attitude to him. I keep thinking he might be like Kevin Faulk, just a dependable chain mover and especially pass catcher on third down. But Faulk was a very important part of those good Patriots teams.

Sure. Although I haven't seen Randle play, I do know that his 40 time isn't good for an NFL prospect. I'm sure he won't remind anyone of Dorsett. But a workman-like RB can be very helpful. Ritchie Anderson was an important contributor up until he ran out of gas.

Gonzalez is a more dynamic and athletic player than Witten.

I love Witten to death but his YAC numbers are nonexistant.

I'd take a Kevin Faulk in 5. Better than a Josh Thomas or Buehler

Unfortunately Dallas probably thinks of him as a healthy DeMarco

Nate Newton was saying today on Fitz and Durrant that Randle is the one to watch. He started to extol Randle but then pulled back and reduced the hype into "since Murray gets injured=Randle big contribution". He also said Tanner is finally an effective runner, who doesn't just run with his eyes shut.

As for the OP, I think Webb is the most exciting prospect from the Dallas draft. Closing speed. leaping ability. punt returns.

In quickness and in stealth, I thee, Webb.
