I cant wait for the real camp to start

I keep hearing reports that most of the players on PUP should be available for camp. I really hope so. There are some players I have my eye on that I really hopep work out for us.

1.) R. Leary OG. Read good things bout him, hoping that the Cowboys continue the youth movement on the Oline and that he earns the start at RG.

2.) M. Johnson. Naturally. I do not want Poole being our safety at the start of the season, and I am not particularly sold on Church.

3.) A. Holmes. So far he has a lock on the #3 if the reports are to be believed. It's his job to lose.

4.) S. Lissemore. I've been waiting for this guy to arrive. I think the guy should have been given more opportunites last year. This year he is in a contract year, and the Cowboys will have to make some decision. They handled Free this exact same way, and instead of getting two years of full evaluation out of him as a starter, we only go one year and he played his ass off, and got that big contract, and then last year he laid an egg.

5.) B. Carter. For obvious reasons. He also had an excellant OTA before he was injured.

RB Darrell Scott has been waived failed/physical ...

‏@nickeatman
Cowboys have added TCU back Ed Wesley, who did not get picked in latest supplemental draft

‏@BryanBroaddus
See where @cbsdollarbill is reporting that Ed Wesley will sign today. Loved his ability to physically press the hole and catch. Nice get.

‏@calvinwatkins
Mike Jenkins said shoulder is good. "sauce", Jenkins said. When asked what does it mean: "A-1".

@BryanBroaddus
Wesley is a much better player than Darrell Scott. If you have to trade a player out, they did well here.

(umm... pretty sure BB was very complimentary of Scott earlier this off season)

‏@DCStarJEllis
Cole Beasley gets a turn to field some punts. Might be that extra bump e needs to make the team.

‏@calexmendez
Lot of punt team work right now. Upback Orie Lemon getting pats from Joe D for recognizing fronts, getting guys lined up right, blocking.

Maybe this means nothing but CB Mike Jenkins can't throw a football over the top. Is his right shoulder that bad?

I wonder what the people think now.

If Jenkins isn't ready for the start of the year, was it still dumb to move up for Claiborne?

Wasn't it the drafting of Claiborn that prompted Jenks to pout?

If so, had we not drafted the guy, then Jenkins might've been here all off season, and been ready physically, as BB suggested someone from the team said he would've been.

I was firmly in the DeCastro camp, but I've since been over that. With Newman being cut and Jenklins hurt and a headcase, moving up for Claiborne was a no-brainer.

Nice reach for a high pass from Beasley. Going full speed over the middle against air. Dude does have sticky hands. #dallascowboys

Cole Beasley might be for real.

I think the white kid from Virginia Tech will be a non-factor this year, largely because of his broken foot and how far behind he's going to fall.

I'm not sure Radway will be able to rebound after last years injury and have another strong camp.

The 5th receiver spot could come down to Beasley and Harris.

Hard to be upset about moving up for a surefire (allegedly) blue chip talent at one of our greatest needs. Especially when it only cost us a 2nd.

Carr and Claiborn turn a glaring weakness into a major strength.

Hopefully Rob Ryan and the front 7 can capitalize.

Cole Beasley just made a nice catch on a vertical route against Williams. Beasley able to adjust to the ball over his head.

@BryanBroaddus
Just went 3 wides and Beasley was on the outside and not in the slot. Kemp in slot.

@BryanBroaddus
Ed Wesley getting his first look at RB. Big, square looking player. Hooked up over the middle.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Kemp tried to carry Butler deep, doesn't have the speed to put pressure on him. Easy cover, good position.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Taplin Ross showing much better awareness driving on the ball from the middle of the field. Drove well on the In cut.

@calvinwatkins
Stephen McGee threw 2 passes toward receivers who weren't open. SMH lol

Danny Coale is a beast. Kid is going to be a player.

Out the gate

Not sure why I keep forgetting his name.

I think he'll be good, but I don't expect much this year. I had high hopes for Harris last year and we saw how that turned out.

Wesley just bounced the ball quickly to the outside. He is a load on the edge.

‏@calvinwatkins
I like how RB Lance Dunbar is running right now. Speed, vision and balance. Can he challenge Phillip Tanner?

‏@BryanBroaddus
Callaway at nose hasn't been as active as I thought he would be today. Slow motion practice so far.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Crawford playing nose has just been to hard for theses young guys to block. Playing on the other side of the LOS.

Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus
Claiborne with a nice stab of his hand out of press coverage. He looks better in press than he does in off. Tends to drift in zone.

‏@calvinwatkins
I'm starting to like this Cole Beasley kid from SMU. Catches deep and short throws and has some wiggle.

‏@calexmendez
Beasley with a play between Butler and Claiborne, who slid off his man to help. Meanwhile, Danny Coale can only watch. Gotta be killing him.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Hakim in a fight off the line with Claiborne had enough of him jamming him off the line. Knocked Mo's helmet off.

My weiner twitches at the idea of having physical corners playing press coverage.

When was the last time we did that consistantly?

Who do you got for the #3 and #4? I assume Holmes for #3---don't tell me about Ogletree!

Smith out of the nickel slot, under cuts Hanna in the flat able to get hand on ball to knock away.

‏@calvinwatkins
TE James Hanna is very inconsistent when it comes to catching the ball.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Ryan correcting Albright when he didn't get wide enough to keep Wesley from not catching a pass.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Callaway wakes up and beats Gunn off the snap for a pressure. Crawford there too.

@BryanBroaddus
Lemon in solid coverage on 3rd down able to knock the ball away from Szczerba.

‏@BryanBroaddus
Whiteside under cuts pass to Hanna in the flat. LBers are getting to a lot of balls today.

------------

I'm steady on the Orie Lemon bandwagon. Like the player.
