tweets this morning all about how noone can snap.

The good news is this might force their hand to go get someone.

@espn_macmahon

A sign of Dez Bryant's importance: Strength coach Mike Woicik personally helps Bryant stretch.

WTF! Uh ok... so why hasn't he done this with Miles Austin, considering his touchy hamstring?

@clarencehilljr

It's so bad at center that bad snapping Arkin replaced costa after bad snap.

BUT JERRY'S HAPPY WITH THE OLINE!!! What do you know Clarence?

Hopefully, we are forced into it now.

Injury Report: Phil Costa hurts lower back

August, 10, 2012

By Calvin Watkins | ESPNDallas.com

OXNARD, Calif. -- The Cowboys were just starting to get healthy and then center Phil Costa hurt his lower back and missed the last 45 minutes of practice Friday afternoon. David Arkin and Harland Gunn moved up the depth chart to get snaps. Costa's status is uncertain, but it comes at a bad time with the Cowboys having just one more practice before the preseason opener at Oakland on Monday night.

Other notes:

*Nose tackle Jay Ratliff got some more snaps in practice Friday after getting -- well sneaking -- in one snap Thursday afternoon. Ratliff (foot) looked pretty good moving around on the field. After he came out, Ratliff had a chat with the trainers to talk about how he's feeling. Ratliff is used to playing with power and quickness and he displayed that Friday.

*Tight end John Phillips didn't practice in pads but did pat-and-go without a helmet in the walkthrough.

*Guard Mackenzy Bernadeau (hip and knee) worked with the first and second teams and showed some power and good lateral movement during the practice.

So where are we not fine?

Church and costa.

But I think with better guard play costa will ne manageable, if he is not I think Mack ends up the center. Which I still think is going to happen by October. When we kickoff in Baltimore the week after the bye if costa struggled early in the year I think it will be livings-Mack-dockery.

Church is having a dynamite camp. I think he will have a break out year this year. We are not fine at center, and to say so is ridiculous.

I said the guards will be better and center we will manage.

It's not a set position yet and as I keep saying I think Mack will be the center in October.

And as far as church having a great camp. We have had a number of great camps from guys who look good in camp only to immediately get exposed as backups when games start.

Cletus Gordon had a tremendous camp in 2010, Keith Davis had a good camp in 05, Jamaica rector had a great camp in 06.

Some guys are just comfortable in camp and play well against the same plays they see everyday in practice.

When games start and the pace is different and the scheme is different some of these great camp guys get left in the dust.

As it stands right now, we suck at center with no viable option to fill in. So, we are not fine at center. Not even close.

And, again, Church will be fine.

That's fine. So how about we all just sit back and wait and see them in games.

The flip-side to what you say would be that both Romo and Austin had good camps and look what happened with them.
