No. I wouldn't be ok with it. It's not just Garrett's playcalling tha tis the problem, but his inability to instill discipline and focus into the team. He's not connecting with them.
As for you thinking Jerry will not get rid of him... well this is where Stephen Jones could come in and talk to Jerry about it. Stepehn's the key. He's the one that lobbied Jerry hard to get rid of T.O.

For how awfully dumb and incompetent Snyder has been, it's still true that he's a diehard Skins fan. He genuinely cares about the team, even though he has proven to be a pompous, thin-skinned weasel. I've read stories about him sulking in the dark for hours at the stadium after the team loses. I think he's an awful human being, but at least he has an emotional interest in that team.
Jerry doesn't give a fuck about the Cowboys. They're just a brand to him, and an asset that provides a means for strengthening his wealth. He'd rather have the team lose, than to win without him in the spotlight. I'm sure he's at home right now drinking eggnog and living it up.

Yeah maybe. I wouldn't consider it bullshit, because Johnson has no interest in coaching ever again, whereas Payton will coach once more. But if Jerry sticks with Garrett... in that case, then Jerry might as well not bother in trying to re-sign Romo.
I personally don't think Romo is looking to re-sign with the Cowboys. If the Cowbopys want to guarantee Romo to be re-signed, bringing in Payton would ensure it.
