Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh fully practices Thursday; LB DeMarcus Ware says his hamstring injury won’t slow him against Seattle
By Brandon George / Reporter
2:56 pm on September 13, 2012

IRVING — The only change on Thursday to the Cowboys’ official practice/injury report was the status of starting safety Gerald Sensabaugh.

Sensabaugh, who has been battling concussion-like symptoms since late in the Giants game last Wednesday, fully practiced with the Cowboys on Thursday after he was limited in practice Wednesday at Valley Ranch.

Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware was officially listed as limited in practice again Thursday as he continues to battle a hamstring injury that he suffered in the preseason. Ware said Thursday, however, that he went through all of the drills in practice that he needed to do. Ware said his injury didn’t bother him in the season opener at the Giants.

“I’ve never had this before,” Ware said. “You’ve just got to let it heal, get your treatment and let it go away on its own.

“I could go full speed right now if I wanted to.”

So, don’t expect Ware to be limited at all in the game Sunday at Seattle.

Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware: ‘I could go full speed right now’
By David Moore / Reporter
2:46 pm on September 13, 2012

IRVING — Linebacker DeMarcus Ware was limited in practice for the second consecutive day with a sore hamstring.

It will not keep him from playing Sunday afternoon against Seattle. The training staff simply wants to manage his condition.

“I went through all of the drills and the stuff I needed to do,” Ware said after Thursday’s practice. “I could go full speed right now.

“I’ve never had this before. You’ve just got to let it heal, get your treatment and let it go away on its own.”

Ware pulled the hamstring during training camp and was limited in practice leading up to last week’s opener against the New York Giants. He responded with two sacks, one quarterback pressure and six tackles and was rewarded with the team’s first Hard Hat award, given by the coaches to the outstanding player of the game.

“Really, it’s about putting your hard hat on regardless of circumstance and going down there and doing your job,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We told them some stories about coal miners early on in training camp and what they do each and every day and how they get paid for what they do.

“DeMarcus Ware demonstrated that more than anybody in our win against the New York Giants.”

Cowboys defense bracing for Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch
By David Moore / Reporter
1:12 pm on September 13, 2012

The Cowboys defense knows they will have their hands full Sunday trying to slow Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch.

“The way he runs the ball, the way he runs after contact, the way he has 300 pound guys on his back and he’s still trying to get the extra yards, we’re going to have to gang tackle him and get everybody to the ball and get him to the ground,” linebacker Anthony Spencer said.

“Playing against him once makes you understand the power he has behind those pads. We know it. We played against him last year and didn’t have the best day against him.”

The Cowboys beat the Seahawks10 months ago. But Lynch was easily Seattle’s more productive player that day, rushing 23 times for 135 yards and the team’s only touchdown. He will be the focal point of the Cowboys defense Sunday, so much so this is what Spencer had to say when asked what he sees on tape from rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.

“I see Marshawn Lynch running the ball is what I see,” Spencer said. “That’s going to be our main thing, just try to stop him.”

Tony Romo Is Unfazed By Return To Seattle
Submitted by Syndicated sources on September 13, 2012 - 3:55pm

Six years is a long time for anyone.

When that time span starts to define your career or legacy, it can feel like a lifetime.

January 6, 2007 will go down in infamy for one Antonio Ramiro Romo.

That botched field goal against Seattle in the Wild Card round continues to dog him regardless of whatever he accomplishes.

For every big play makes, comes a reference to his inability to be clutch. all based off that game.

Sunday Romo returns to Qwest field for the first time since that day.

NFL.com via DallasCowboys.com has evidence to suggest that it’s no big deal to Romo anymore. Romo feels the play helped him grow.

“Shoot, it feels like I was 10 years old back then.”

“Football is a great game; it teaches you a lot of lessons. Your ability to interact with other people, how to develop into a leadership role, lots of things. But you put your head down and just get better.”

That play was a long time ago. People continue to reference it through all his slip ups.

The only way for Romo to truly live it down is to take the Cowboys on a long playoff run.

Sunday may catapult him to that.

Posted it in the NFL area too, but Shefter is reporting Bears RB Matt Forte suffered a high ankle sprain last night.

If true, he's likely to miss our game against them in two weeks.

congrats to the bears on the worst gameplan in history.

When they werent max protecting to throw it deep to receivers who can't get open against man coverage because they run the ugliest routes I've ever seen (seriously, not even T.O. ran the comeback as badly as Marshall last night) they were giving absolutely no help to their garbage offensive linemen against Matthews. You want to see a team that has neglected OL - look no further than Chicago.

Please don't disagree because I don't feel compelled to verify, but I believe the Bears have dedicated a number of draft picks, including early ones, in recent years to the Oline.

They're not neglecting the Oline. They're just as incompetent as we are at scouting Olineman.

Ah frick it

2012 - none
2011 - Gabe Carimi, 1st round Tackle
2010 - J'Marcus Webb 7th round Tackle
2009 - Some other guy 7th round guard
2008 - Chris Williams 1st round tackle
2008 - some guy 7th round guard

Eh... you were right. I don't know off hand what they've done in free agency. The two first rounders is addressing it, but they've totally ignored the Oline in the 2-6th rounds. 7th rounders rarely pan out.

The packers still the scariest team to me, if they got their weapons rolling(Jennings didn't play) I have a feeling we'd be helpless. But I feel pretty good about our position in the NFC right now 6% into the season

Not that surprising considering that blockhead they have at OC.

His pouting and temper tantrums (usually directed at his own teammates) are really unprofessional. Doesn't scream "leader" to me.

I don’t like how Cutler yelled and pushed his teammate. I mean, he doesn’t get rid of the ball quickly, hard to block that long. His comments in the press conference didn’t sit right with me either. I predict a full meltdown in Chicago. Something just isn’t right with that team.

If we are going to beat the seahawks sunday we are going to have to avoid this type of sequence at the goal line.

its close to the 06 first down location also....maybe we just shouldnt have the ball at the 1.5 against the seahawks.

sup theebs sup.

IMO all we have to do is avoid turning it over. They are bad. Saw alot of that game since it was the late game last week and they looked hopeless on offense against Arizona.

its a week to week league. Everybody is just giving us this game which really concerns me....It feels like we are walking in to a at buffalo in 07 situation.....good defense, young qb and marshawn lynch with a terrific home crowd.

I think because they play that aggressive 43 over/under and challenge the corners in man...I think we will have some shots at big plays. I dont think there corners or chancellor run that well. They should squat on all that quick stuff though. Jason witten always makes everyone change there ideas on defense once games start anyway because nobody can cover him on those dig routes..... So if they sit in cover 3 all day and press austin and murray should make big plays.

It is interesting though listening to hugh millen this morning on the seattle sports station kjr he pointed out murray got most of his yards outside the tackles and that was because david hawthorne did a really poor job of being where he was supposed to be.....and he thinks that bobby wagner is going to fix that....they are big upfront.....

I just feel like we are going to make some big plays on offense at some point.....on defense it would seem as long as we dont get a bunch of cheap pass intereference calls and dont let leon williams swing field position there way all day we will be fine. I cant see them scoring more than 17 really.

last year we played them without jenkins and lee and then during the game scandick was injured. Tavaris jackson is the worst and he was hurt last year in that game but still if you are seattle and Dallas lines up Allan ball, Terence Newman, Keith brooking and bradie james you have to be able to score.
