So...? The Giants were missing a hell of alot more players than that last year, and they still won the Super Bowl.

They didn't lose that game because they didn't have Canty or Austin. Canty's overrated. You cannot tell me that a defense that has JPP, Tuck, Osi, Kiwanuka, Boley, and Rivers and the DC Fewell are not talented enough that they cannot do without Canty. Canty is not even a starter, He signed that big contract with the Giants and has mainly came off the bench.
