guess they do like him as the swing guy...hopefully we never have to see him play except preseason

after looking pretty mediocre (IMO) to start last preseason, he did play better the last two games he saw time

with Livings, Bernadeau, Free, Smith, and Parnell all locked up for the next few years it's appears the staff feels they are set at Offensive Line. Doesn't mean we won't upgrade if there's an opportunity (especially at Center), just means we have 7 (Nagy and Arkin are locked up until 2015) players locked up and most teams carry 9 maybe 10 offensive linemen.

Only guiding light I can find is that New Orleans thinks Zach Strief is a long-term starter at OT for them.

Doesn't mean we won't upgrade if there's an opportunity (especially at Center), just means we have 7 (Nagy and Arkin are locked up until 2015) players locked up and most teams carry 9 maybe 10 offensive linemen.

Other that Smith and Free, none of those guys are locks to be here longterm. Some might not even be locks to be here in 2012.

I'm pretty sure Bernadeau, Livings, and Parnell, who all just signed new contracts, will be here for the next 2 to 3 years minimum. You don't sign guys to long-term deals to cut them year one.
