He talked about how wonderlic scores are nit that important, and said some guys do really well because there agents get copies of the test and coach the players up.......

Sometimes also do real well because they have fully functioning brains.

I'm going to buy 1 NFL Draft guide. Just 1.

Which one should I get?

ourlads is a nice guide. I used to get it, but just refuse to pay for it now when every comment on the cowboys has some stupid jerry reference.

I refuse to give money to an ex eagles scout who has a jerry hard on.

I've been waiting on TheSportingNews one, which I've bought every year since Street and Smith stopped making them, but I guess they stopped making them too. I almost bought the ProFootballWeekly one today.

Maybe Jerry is just stupid?

IMO, you lose credibility if you criticize Jerry's drafting history.

its not even that.

Its dumb things like in 07 he kept saying in the cowboys section "now that coach jerry is back, coach jerry will draft who he wants" etc.

I dont need that in a draft guide and I dont need it everytime he mentions the cowboys.

just give me the breakdowns on the teams and the draft....get a blog for that kind of stuff.

What I've learned so far on this page is that Ourlads draft guide is 100% accurate.

Good to know.

pat kirwan just finished another version of a mock...I didnt catch it until 17 but that that is where he had decastro....no idea who he had for dallas.

He said decastro was a sure thing who will have an nfl career like steve hutchinson and alan faneca...

so what gives, why are you guys on here saying he is not powerful and not a good player?

I don't know where Kirwan gets off comparing DeCastro to Faneca. By no means is DeCastro a road-grader.

2nd time I have heard him say that about him....said directly he is going to punish guys and is exactly like hutchinson and faneca....

he also added today that coaches he talked to at stanford said he is raw and is going to get alot better

Hope so, because he didn't dominate anybody at Stanford. At best he acted as a buffer-zone.

Pulls great though.

Hes raw and still has the perfect technique?

I don't think he has much room for improvement. His body is maxed out and his hands+ leverage are very good.

My qualm is he's not better than pouncey or iupati so why do we have to take him so high? He's very good, not great.

Remember in 1995 (I think) the Bengals traded up to #1 for Ki Jana Carter from PSU?

I kinda miss the NFL where runningbacks weren't so devalued.

The Rushing Champion used to be celebrated (or at least it seemed, considering I was an Emmitt fan and he won it regularly). Now you never really hear it mentioned. I couldn't tell you who led the league in rushing in any of the past 10 years or so.

Who was the last RB taken #1 overall? Carter?

@melkiper: I see a lot of similarities between BC LB Luke Kuechly (6-3¼ - 242 - 4.53 speed) & Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher (6-3½ - 255 - 4.52 speed).

Oh.

Lot of similarities between Todd Heap (6-5 - 252 - 4.59) and Stanford TE Coby Fleener (6-6 - 247 - 4.49).

LOT of similarities
