I don't know if it's posted but Peyton Hillis went to KC, I think.

If he wipes the sand out of his vagina, they'll have a good combo. Bruiser and a burner.

Not sure if you are saying that is good and being serious but I like guys who are a little crazy. You're never going to see either of these guys half ass it and they're just crazy enough to instill a little fear into the slackers who are around them.

Yeah i was being serious. They love the game and play with outward emotion you can see.

Team Keeping Eyes Open For Tight Ends
Posted by jellis at 3/15/2012 2:55 PM CDT on dallascowboys.com

Since free agency began, the Cowboys have been connected to three different tight ends. John Carlson signed a lucrative deal with Minnesota, while Kellen Davis, the only free agent to visit Dallas, stayed with the Bears. Incumbent No. 2 Martellus Bennett reached a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the New York Giants.

As the Cowboys attempt to address all their major needs heading into the draft, the team still has options behind Jason Witten.

Among the best tight ends still available are Kevin Boss, recently released by the Raiders, Leonard Pope of Kansas City and Denver's Dante Rosario. Dallas Clark of the Colts is available as well, but the team is unlikely to seek a receiving-first tight end on the open market.

"We'll just continue to go through this process, evaluate our needs at all positions, and see who might be available, who might fit," coach Jason Garrett said of the tight end market. "Nobody really, specifically, right now, that we're talking about to bring in, but we're talking about a lot of different guys, watching tape, seeing if there's anybody that's interesting to us as we go along here."

The Cowboys liked Davis for his balanced game, believing he could contribute as both a receiver and blocker. While Bennett never lived up to expectations as a pass-catcher, he is regarded as one of the best blockers at the position in the league.

"Martellus did a really nice job for us in the role he had since he's been here," Garrett said. " He's an outstanding blocking tight end ... and he's grown as a receiver since he's been here."

Tight end could still be addressed in the draft. The Cowboys also like John Phillips, their No. 3 tight end since 2009.

"John's certainly a possibility," Garrett said. "He's been that No. 2 tight end at different times when Martellus hasn't been available to us over the past couple, three years. He's a guy that's done a real nice job on the line as a tight end, and also as a guy that can go in the backfield and play a quasi-fullback position."

What was Mickey saying, theebs?

That we werent' going to sign big names? Or we weren't going to sign anyone?

I want to mock him on twitter.

he specifically said we wouldnt sign the best guard, pass rusher or corner...meaning williams, nicks or carr....said we had limited money and would sign under the radar veterans to just fill in spots and the draft would be where we make a big push.

archer seemingly nailed it though....3 starters and 1 reserve, plus a backup qb..carr, poole, connor, vickers are starters....orton, mackenzie are backups...

and he said we wanted grubbs but once it got to 7 million we were out.

not a shocker. “@TheJRob: Kevin Ogletree's visit with the #Giants has ended without a deal, per a source.”

Expect an article out this week where its part of the job to mislead other teams.

The Dan Connor signing has me a little excited. Averaged a shade under 5 tackles a game last year.

What's sad though is that if he winds up as depth this year, that would still be an upgrade to what we trotted out onto the field beside Sean Lee last year.

When he said he had only mastered 60% of the playbook during his time in Dallas, they showed him the door.

Todd ArcherIRVING, Texas -- Earlier in the day Calvin Watkins provided the details of Brandon Carr’s five-year, $50.1 million contract that included a $10 million signing bonus.

2013 -- $1.35 million
2014 -- $3.25 million

Mackenzy Bernadeau -- four years, $11 million, $3.25 million signing bonus
2012 -- $1 million
2013 -- $1.75 million

2015 -- $2.75 million

(Bernadeau has incentives that can take the deal to $14 million total.)

Lawrence Vickers -- two years, $2.4 million, $200,000 signing bonus
2012 -- $800,000
2013 -- $1.2 million

4 years, 11 mil is chump change. He got less guaranteed than our backup QB.

Who was the idiot that said we threw starter money at him?

Don't worry.

They got one lined up for the 2nd round.

Coby Fleenor will probably be gone. So say hello to Dwayne Allen or Orson Charles. And if we don't go DeCastro in round one, then it'll be a third rounder at best or Berndadette and the returning scrubs starting at OG's.
