Romo did the same thing Manning did.

He put his team in position to not lose a football game.

I love Romo. I've fought tooth and nail with folks who tried to tell me Eli was a better QB. But...

The NY defense was just as bad as the Dallas defense. The difference in this game was, Manning hit the receivers we left open.

I have a problem with how the last drive was called before the Giants went down a scored a TD.

Eli has been lights out with time and a deficit.

When do we ever run twice in a row, Dbair? Especially on 1st and 2nd down? The only time is when we're backed up, or Garrett thinks he has a game won.

Run, Run, Pass, punt.

Game over.

Not to mention letting like 15 seconds run off the clock when the Giants got down to the goaline. Think we could have used na extra play tonight? Think that changes the path of the FG that got blocked?

If Garrett lets his offense play offense on that last drive, we win the game. He tried to run the clock out. We all knew that wasn't going to happen.

Garrett is the worst coach inside of 5 minutes in the 4th qtr that I've ever seen.

Must be true....We have lost way too many games this year we should have won.

I need to F something up , excuse me while I hunt down and mutilate the armadillo that's tearing up my front yard....

If anything they should of just let the Giants score. They were going to anyways. We lost some precious time when Garrett finally decided to call time out. If the Giants scored earlier we would've had a little more time. Maybe even score a touchdown.

But we didn't. We lost. We suck. The seasons over. Fuck it.

You dont give the other team a TD there. Too many things can go wrong if you force them to run the plays. Maybe we stuff them. Maybe they fumble. We did stop Steven Jackson on some goalline plays earlier in the season.

How many times have we seen this? When we score a TD and go up, we either see the special teams unit give up the big play to set the other team up, or we see the defense celebrate, because they think they have the game won, and so they lay down. There is some ingrained culture that cultivates this mindset.

And maybe this is why Garrett coaches the way he does, because this team cannot be trusted with maintaining a lead. But then that falls upon the HC. If this was Belicek and the Patriots were UP by 12 points with 5 minutes left, he would be coaching as if he were DOWN by 12 points.

What is it that Coughlin is able to do to get the best out of his team and keep them fighting?

Except when he threw a 4th quarter pick that Romo turned into 7 and a 12 point lead that our defense couldn't protect.

With more time I guarantee Romo finishes the game with a TD.

Hard to figure out why this team has trouble putting games away. They had numerous opportunities. I won’t stress over it or allow it to ruin my life. I decided a few weeks ago after the Detriot game that this team is not to be trusted. They are a mediocre team. They all take the a piece of the blame. You guys can do the “fuck this” ”fuck him” “fuck fuck” ”fuck whatever” man get it over it. If you are buying into this team as something special than you are fucking idiot.

Definitely not a special team this year, thats for sure.

Goddammit, 'punk. You are forcing me to defend Manning. And that makes me puke all over the fucking place, so I'll say this bit and bow out of the conversation: I'm not blaming Romo for this loss. Far from. I agree that this one lies at the feet at the defense. My point is, when it came down to crunch time, Manning made the throws it took to win the game and Romo didn't.

Garrett has led his team to two consecutive losses that should have been wins.

We've blown two big leads late this year, maybe three, they're all running together. It's getting hard to seperate all these cluster fucks.

Garrett is a shitty game manager.

Perfect example, Manning completes a pass to the goaline to Ballard. Precious time runs off the clock until Garrett figures out that he might need some time to get into fg position.

Meanwhile, I'm screaming at my TV, begging for Bonoil or no neck to tell Garrett to take a timeout. Apparently that's who he takes orders from.

How much time do we lose?

If I know that, Garrett needs to know that.

The defense was too busy celebrating when we went up by 12 with 5 minutes left. It's sad. That we need to be up by at least 4 TDs with that much time left on the clock to be assured of a victory.

I was too. We needed to call a timeout immediately. I also would have let them score. Cowboys only needed a field goal.

The Romo missed throw to Austin was the Romo to Hurd play a few years ago that iced the game. Romo needed to bail out the defense and missed the opportunity. It was obvious to me that the defense couldn’t be trusted to stop Eli. Giants Defense was shit. They were a foot away from giving up 40 points.

This one's not on Romo. Yeah, he missed Austin. No quarterback is perfect on every throw of every game.

On the flip side, very few defenses are this bad on nearly every play of a game.

Reminds me of the Mavs under Avery Johnson. We need an experienced coach to put us over the top. Pretty simple.

Fucking bullshit. That pass to Robinson was the prettiest of the night, and that was crunch time. Dez was wide open, but Romo hit him for the TD too.

But of course, you want to pick out the one play where he misfired to Austin and say that cost us the game. That's horseshit. He shouldn't have to be perfect to win a game when he played like he did tonight.

AMEN! Most teams that are up by 12 points with less than 5 minutes to play, their defense would be able to hold.
