Well looks like the Jets will be the first team to beat the Colts and Pats back to back in the playoffs.

Statistically, I don't know if it means anything, but the NFC East is a tougher division than the NFC West (49ers) and old AFC Central/AFC North (Steelers).

I wonder if the Steelers/49ers would have the same amount of success if they were in the NFC East.

Ravens, Browns, Oilers, Bengals have one SB win, three SB appearances.

Rams, Saints, Cardinals, Seahawks, Panthers, Falcons (while they were in the 49ers division) - have one SB win, six SB appearances.

The Giants, Eagles and Redskins have six SB wins, ten SB appearances. Huge disparity.

Not to say the Steelers/49ers weren't great teams, but some years they'd be 10-6 instead of 12-4 and probably may not make a Super Bowl with this tougher road.

Losing today means Belichick and Brady have now lost their 3 last postseason games. All of them they were favored in, 2 of the 3 they were huge favorites.

Kind of reminds me of Montana/Walsh in 1988. They had already revolutionized football and won two Super Bowls. Steve Young was acquired because Montana was on the hot seat. However, they were under fire because they lost several playoff games. Then they won the 1988 and 89 Super Bowls.

The 49ers had it easy during their championship years. They might have gotten beat down playing in the East and possibly not have won as many rings.

I don't think the same applies to Pittsburgh. They were always a tough physical team.

And?

Are we supposed to laugh at them for that? Jesus Christ. We're the Cincinnati Bengals of football for the last 15 years.

Brady is still 14-5 in the playoffs and both still have three rings. What is your point?
