It begs the question...why do some fans seem underwhelmed by Ware instead of being revered like Derrick Thomas like Pat Swilling while they were active?

I think one constant complaint has been the 'gutlessness' of the Cowboys defense in the 4th quarter...our defense is not clutch and that's not debatable.

How many of Ware's sacks came in the 4th quarter or how many of them came on 3rd down.

Secondly, Ware seems to be a boom-or-bust pass rusher. If he doesn't hit the QB, he gets stonewalled. He doesn't seem to collapse the pocket or disrupt the timing of the play as often as others like Freeney.

Felix finishes with an even 800 yards on 185 carries. A little over 4.3 a carry behind what I believe is the worst run blocking line in the league.

I will say that Ware seems to rely predominately on the outside speed rush...with that, once you're been pushed past the QB, the threat's been nullified. His bullrush is okay but he doesn't seem to have inside rush moves.

Ware has 18.5 sacks in the 4th quarter (does not include today) and 33 sacks on 3rd down.

My problem is where is he when we need him? Not to say that he's never come up big in key moments. I can remember him coming up big against the Saints and sacking Brees and causing a fumble to basically win the game. But what else? His unit is the one that continues to get bent over in key situations and he seems to be easily contained in those situations.

He's too much of a teddy bear for my liking.

Derrick Thomas had Neil Smith
Reggie White had Joyner, Evans, Jerome Brown, Simmons
LT had Banks and Pepper Johnson
Pat Swilling had Rickey Jackson and Sam Mills.

If Suggs was here, the defense would certainly be better.

Not only with his pass rush ability but his nasty demeanor. The guy would piledrive your parents if he could get away with it.

He made a play today where he shut down a run on 4th and short, then got up and took a player's head off with a punch the officials missed.

Now where is that guy on this defense?

Not to say we need to be cheap shotting players and getting flags but a little street fight mentality would be nice.

I always thought Derrick Thomas was the most athletic pass rusher I've ever seen but Ware tops him, IMO.

It'd be nice to get a defensive coach in here that had a bad attitude. This defense is way too kind hearted. It's like Ware was raised by upper class white folks.
