Deion Branch is a system player, just like Wes Welker. Take them out of NE and they are JAGs. Neither would be worth a shit as a #1 on any other team.

It helps to have one of the best QBs ever throwing to you too.

Pete C has a lot more wrinkles than he did this time last year.

SEATTLE--According to a report in the Seattle Post Intelligencer, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has offered free agent linebacker Keith Bullock the use of a 2010 Cadillac Escalade if he agrees to join the team. Carroll offered Bullock the SUV after it was reported that the Carolina Panthers were also in line for his services.

“Pete’s been heavily recruiting Keith and has decided to sweeten the deal in order to beat out the Panthers,”
said a source close to the team. “It’s got to be a tempting offer. It’s a nice vehicle. Anybody would love to drive that thing around, especially since it’s free. This is where Pete’s experience as a college head coach really comes in handy. The Panthers would never think of doing something this seedy.”

Carroll reportedly made the offer through an intermediary, though the source said that wasn’t necessary.

*Disclaimer:Absolutely fake story.

“He’s being all secretive about it but he should remember he’s not in college anymore,” he said. “This stuff is all legal. If a grown man wants to drive an SUV, he can. But I actually think Pete enjoys this cloak and dagger stuff. It makes him feel like he’s back at USC. Going legit is just too boring for a guy like him.”

The one thing Carroll can’t offer Bullock, however, is regular playing time. The Panthers, who are in need of help at the linebacker position, have reportedly offered him a starting job. So Carroll may have to sweeten the pot even more.

“The Escalade may not be enough in the end to sign this guy,” said the source. “Pete may have to add a few extra incentives. I suggest some free Air Jordans, maybe an iPad, and ten million extra dollars or so. Actually, ten million might be a little much. You don’t need to give the guy Reggie Bush money at this point.”

Carroll has denied offering Bullock any incentives, calling the charge “ludicrous” and “baseless.” He also insisted that he doesn’t even own an SUV.

“First of all, these charges are ludicrous and totally baseless,” Carroll said. “How would I give the guy my Escalade if I don’t even have one? I mean, sure, somebody else might have one and he might be a big fan of the Seahawks and be willing to let the kid drive it around, but that’s none of my business. I can’t be responsible for everything that goes on with my players. I’m just the dipshit that coaches the team.”

When reached for comment about the matter, Bullock insisted that Carroll hasn't offered him anything but some whores and tickets to a Mariners game.
