Tony Romo has suffered a fractured left clavicle and will not return.

Romo had x-rays in the second quarter after suffering the injury. Depending on the severity of the injury, Romo could need surgery.

With 12:07 left in the second quarter, Romo fired a pass to Miles Austin, then took the hard hit from linebacker Michael Boley, who was running at him unblocked, going practically full speed. Romo was down, flat on his back, until trainers came to his aid.

He was replaced by Jon Kitna, who was seeing his first playing time since Oct. 5, 2008 when he was with Detroit.

Romo attempted to return to the game in the same series but was held back by associate athletic trainer Britt Brown and was taken to the locker room for X Rays. The Cowboys are not sure of his return.

Romo suffered a fractured left pinky finger in an overtime loss at Arizona in 2008 and missed three games that ultimately led to a 9-7 finish that kept the Cowboys from the playoffs. He was replaced by Brad Johnson, who was ineffective.

Romo has played through injuries in games before, like knee and lower back but always managed to return.

Romo had been 5 of 7 for 39 yards with a touchdown pass..

The Giants have KO'd several QBs this year - Jay Cutler , Shaun Hill.

Team full of losers. Romo going down hurts big time. Built in excuse. Nice.

True but when you have a weak ass coach like Wade... what would you expect? Now granted we just got some bad players: Scandruick, Sensabaugh, James, Brookings, the Oline, etc.

Jerry's thinking was since we have Newman and Jenkins, we can get by on the cheap with the safeties.

Yup, I blame Jerry Jones for this injury to Romo.

That's how he protects his franchise quarterback the fucking idiot!

We are the only team that consistanly allows defenders to come through unblocked to the QB. Fact of Romo's mobility and toughness is why he hasn't been hurt earlier.

I don't even want to hear Jerry say because we lost Tony we are keeping Wade.

I'll fly out to Austin and kick him square in the nuts myself!

To be fair, the idiot FB, Gronk totally blew his assignment. Still doesn't change the fact that Romo makes the line better than it is. It's completely falling apart because Kitna is immobile.

And somewhere Deon Anderson is laughing. But it would have happened eventually with this Oline.

I just want to see Eli's ugly fricking face get smashed in the turf in this second half.

Ware, please drill his goofy face into the turf.

Ayuh, I hate to say it but we might as well lay down the rest of the season.

Damnit, I am so pissed right now.

I don't want this fucking joke of a coach as our head coach next year.

If Jerry keeps Wade, I'll root for another team, I'm serious.
