Re-watching it, Romo expected pressure right away from that backer on that side. Rushed the throw. Instead that backer peeled off and made the play.

That's what it looked like to me. Romo quickly decided he didn't like what he saw in the end zone and dumped it off.

He did pretty good as there was no one else there to make a play if he misses, forced him to sideline for a TD saving tackle IMO
