    2025 Dallas Cowboys Offseason Thread

They will probably want similar if not better deals than JL just got from the Jags. How about Darius Slay on a one-year deal? 34 now but still looked decent last season. And as a release by the Eagles he won't count against us in the comp picks.

    2025 NFL Draft

Really do like him. Good size and can run through contact (which we desperately need in the redzone) but still has just enough juice for when he gets in the open field...

Signing Lockett is not something I would want the team to do, but it's a signing I could definitely see Schottenheimer pushing for given their history.

    2025 Dallas Cowboys Offseason Thread

Metcalf is clearly the better player and closer to his prime, but I think Lockett is more likely for the following reasons... 1) He'll be much cheaper 2) We wouldn't have to give up any draft capital 3) As he's been released he wouldn't count against us when it comes to working out the...

Caught this snippet in an article a few minutes ago. Dak really does have Drunk GM and Cap Boy over a barrel... Prescott’s cap hits in 2026, 2027, and 2028 are now above $70MM, giving him leverage to negotiate another extension in the next two years...

Tyler Lockett has been released by the Seahawks. Had some really good years under Brian Schottenheimer in Seattle. He'll be 33 by the time the season starts but I think he'd produce more than Cooks did. Could be one to watch.

I have all but one of the Landry-era Dallas Cowboys Bluebooks. One of them is signed by Randy White. I always hoped that one day they might be worth something, but now I seriously doubt that.

It may also have been an (ultimately futile) attempt by Jerry to regain some leverage in contract negotiations with Dak. Look who we've just got Dak!!!

Did we even try to develop him though? Jerry famously said he had no desire to see Trey Lance in at QB. If we really had any interest in developing him then he should have been given first shot at the QB gig the moment Dak went down. You surely have to see what Lance can give you. You already...

    Let the Schottenheimer era begin

Should we be concerned that Brian might have inherited his Dad's 5-13 playoff record by 'osmosis'? Probably not, considering Jerry will see to it that we won't even qualify for the playoffs.

    2025 Conference Championship Thread

Well that was grim. What would be more embarrassing for Jerry? Our bitter division rivals winning another SB? Or the Chiefs achieving the first SB-era three-peat, something that Jerry denied us by stupidly running Jimmy out of town?

Roseman signed Zach Baun in FA and made him a star. I'll bet Jerry doesn't even know who Zach Baun is.

Skins have been competitive for the most part. Dumb turnovers and penalties have been the difference.

    2025 Conference Championship Thread

What do the 4 teams in the Conference championship games have in common? Dual threat QBs. Dak used to be that (particularly in college), but not any more. He's now a very average, one-dimensional pocket passer. We're doomed to failure for as long as we're tattooed to Dak and the Jones clan.

    Let the Schottenheimer era begin

Typical Jerry hire. Find the one guy who's the most desperate for a HC gig, and won't kick-up a fuss about having to work for the worst owner/GM in the NFL.
