    2011 NFL Draft Chatter....

So is dbair. Would have been nice to move down a few spots and get something else and still get T Smith, but IMO he was 100% the right pick Mayock says "all pro written all over him"

    War room cam....

Please dont mention that name again. I absolutely went postal when we had Tony Brackens there to take, and instead traded down for that guy.

    2011 NFL Draft Chatter....

I dont think its a dead solid lock that Julio Jones goes before we pick. I also dont see any downside to either Newton or Gabbert being there at 9, as those guys are pretty much universally thought of as the best two QB's, then a significant drop off. Some team behind us wanting a QB would pay a...

    Michael Irvin said on NFLN

I'm sure we'll all have opinions on what happens, we do every year. I tend to not get overly excited or deflated about it though as I know it takes time to pan out. There's been some years I've been more pumped than others but for the most part I tend to be pretty level headed about what we do...

    2011 NFL Draft Chatter....

I wont be surprised if we end up with two first round picks though. Depending on how that first pick plays out, they might try and get aggressive and move up back into the late first round.

    2011 NFL Draft Chatter....

I'd be disappointed too, but we do have alot of other picks. One guy isnt going to ruin the whole thing for me. Unless we did something like Mike Ditka did years ago and trade away an entire draft for one guy.

    Michael Irvin said on NFLN

As I mentioned in another thread, its hard to hate a draft the weekend that it actually happens unless you've just watched them do something amazingly stupid (ie, like 1995 for instance) Its takes 2-3 years with most classes before you know what you really have. Sometimes picks you may not have...

Why a 3-4 end can make sense early

Because he wasnt worth 40 million dollars or whatever he got from NYG.

Why a 3-4 end can make sense early

Go back and look at some of their games. Look at how they held most teams in check in terms of points. Look at the creative game plans that helped contain Brady and Brees. They may have been 24th in yards, but when you consider they had an awful offense (therefore their defense was on the field...

    2011 NFL Draft Chatter....

I just hope if we move down we get really good value to do so. Moving from 9 to 14 and picking up only a 4th rd pick or something doesnt do much for me. On top of the fact I think we'd lose out for sure on getting the best T prospect.

    Gosselin final mock draft

Interesting if true: Found this on some Kansas City Chiefs Fan site http://arrowheadaddict.com/2011/04/2...tll-be-carimi/ Cam Newton first, Von Miller to Denver, and the Bills select Marcell Dareus. Check out this QB run, it’s insane: Newton to Carolina, Gabbert to the Niners, Locker to the...

    Casserly comment last night

Was watching NFLN and they asked him about the drop off from first round to second round (dont know if he meant 1st to 2nd in general, or players rated as 1st rd or 2nd) and he said there was a huge dropoff. Then (and I dont recall the exact wording) he said this was the worst draft he'd seen...

Cowboys wish list at No. 9 has four linemen

DeMarcus Ware and Marcus Spears were/are long term starters. Marion Barber was essentially the long term starter at RB, even when he was technically a backup. Roy Williams was a longterm starter. Jay Ratliff is a fixture. Miles Austin and Romo werent drafted but they are legit longterm starters...

Here's mine: 1) Trading up from 9, not a fan of. Especially if it costs picks in this draft, unless they are late picks. 2) If they stay at 9, Tyron Smith would be my pick. If either Dareus or Peterson were there and we picked one of them, would be good with that, especially Dareus. Still dont...
