In that scenario why not take a QB? QB's don't really lose draft capital, and it's not like we're stacked with talent at the position anyway.

Maybe not. Seems like we're collecting O-linemen now. Do these moves rule out a high pick on the OL in the draft? Cowboys Close To Re-Signing OL Joe Looney

It always baffles me when it's said they use FA to plug holes in their roster so they don't have to reach in the draft. A lot of the FA's they've signed in recent years haven't even lasted one whole season with the team. So they aren't really plugging any holes at all.

Notice Allen Hurns was cut by the Jags today. Definitely better than the WRs we've been linked with so far. Surely worth an enquiry, or is his price tag too rich for our blood also?

It's the dog days of the off season and like the rest of you I am bored so.....

Yeah but it ain't a good pass either. If it was a good pass how come Smith ends up flat on his back in the endzone? Like I said before though, he still should've caught it, just like Dez should've caught a few of those slightly off target passes from Dak last season. Sometimes a receiver has got...

There are what, 130 plays in an average football game? The notion that just one play decides the outcome of a game is utterly ridiculous.

What if Landry hadn't got cute with the reverse trick play on the opening drive? What if they didn't abandon the run when Dorsett was gashing them consistently in the first half (just 16 carries in the game)?

Just because Staubach wouldn't throw a teammate under the bus doesn't mean it wasn't a bad pass. It was. It was a wounded duck, bad spiral, thrown at Smith's back shoulder instead of leading him, forcing him to stop his route abruptly and slip backwards. Smith still should have caught it though...
