The mastermind behind all this success we have had for three decades.

Yim has already ordered the first copy of this amazing portrait. In fact I heard he ordered several so he can display proudly in his LR, BR and mancave.

Meanwhile.... ESPN is now just a day-long infomercial for the NFL & gambling interests. It’s been dying slowly for years, now it’s figured out a way to die faster!
(we love how these articles all say so & so "has agreed to". Any reason they shouldn't?!)

I'm assuming its because teams know and expect the salary cap to increase every yr, so it behooves teams to pay large amounts of total dollars but leave the flexibility to convert salary to signing bonus type money so you can prorate it out further. I'm not 100% sure but I think agents are paid off what the total dollars of a contract are for the player, so even if it's "funny money" they get their % of it.

Ultimately the Jones' completely fucked the franchise for years by paying Prescott last yr.
I suppose, but for the agent, the total amount doesn't change. At least I don't see how.

If the total contract is 250 million over 10 years, 20 years or 5 years, it's still 250.

As far as the cap rising. I suppose putting 60 million into 2025, and then seeing what the cap dollars actually is, allows the team to say we'll put 20 million into 2026, but it still seems like just going with the smaller number up front would still work out. But again, I'll leave it to the carpologists.

But I suck at math.

We just have to hope for the best with Dak. That is all we can do. On the positive side, I think he does care. I think he works hard. I think he does try to always improve.

It will be interesting to see if he has any real mobility left.

Nothing wrong with hoping for the best, but I think we've already seen that from him and he proved his best wasn't good enough. He isn't going to improve any more. He played (and looked) like shit this past season before he got hurt.

And he has no wheels any longer and hasn't in several seasons. He's a glue factory special at this point.

I strongly suspect the only way he ever sees a conference championship or Super Bowl (assuming he hasnt bought tickets to watch) is if he's some team's 2nd team QB and along for the ride. He isn't leading this team there.

He's not anymore (highest paid) and no, he isn't even close to top-5 in the league at his position.

Only the Jones-tards truly believe he is.
Patrick Mahomes: 2025 counts for 23.73% of the cap (money will probably be moved, I assume). It was 14.49% last year. Scheduled to be 22.36 in 2026.

Dak Prescott after restructure: 2025 counts for 18.97% of the cap. It was 17.47% last year. Scheduled to be 24.92 in 2026.

In what world is Dak close to Mahomes? In Jerry World because Jerry only talks about SBs now. I'm not even sure he even talks about SBs now. I think he alludes to it as if he is afraid to say the words.

Dallas Cowboys Free Agency: A New Direction

The Dallas Cowboys are in a revitalized position this offseason. After a lackluster approach last year, the front office recognizes the need for changes. Following what fans deemed a disappointing offseason, the focus now shifts to acquiring valuable players through Dallas Cowboys free agency. Among potential signings, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton stands out, forecasted to secure a lucrative four-year contract worth $60 million.

Nick Bolton: A Key Addition to the Cowboys Defense

Bolton's addition would significantly bolster the Cowboys' defense. Since being drafted in 2021, he’s been a reliable starter and has made considerable contributions. Last season alone, Bolton amassed 106 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, and 7 quarterback hits, showcasing his prowess on the field. Pundits believe that his raw talent and experience make him an ideal candidate to address the Cowboys' pressing need at inside linebacker, especially with DeMarvion Overshown's recovery from another knee injury.

apparently nobody wants Cooper Rush or Trey Lance
Time to move on from those two. Feels like they've been w/Dallas 50 years! Acquiring Lance was such a waste. Especially since Jerry made an average quarterback the highest paid player in the NFL. Where's the logic?!

LOL! I just started a mock using Fanspeak this time. I usually use Pro Football. I'm using the Buffalo Fambase - Dean Kindig Bills Big Board.

Cameron Ward fell to 12!! Jimmy said he is the best QB in the draft and he thinks he can be special.

So the picks before are:
Carter
Hunter
Sanders
Will Campbell
Jeanty
Stewart
Tyler Warren
McMillan
Mason Graham
Membou
Will Johnson

I think Ward falling to 12 is highly, highly unlikely, but I can see it.

Would you take him? Not what Jerry would do, but would you? I would. I would not start him in year 1 unless he balls out.

Total speculation, just for fun.
