First wave of Cowboy releases out today. Only mild surprise was CB Eric Scott. Fehoko apparently sprained his vagina the other night and was waived injured.

Willie Harvey gone too, which probably means Buddy Johnson is probably making the team.

Well unless we pay those shitheads Mav we can't see what his predictions are.

So I'll give everyone mine instead.

QB (3)- Prescott, Rush and Lance. Lance has a guaranteed deal so he probably is safe, but Rush is clearly #2

RB (4)- Dowdle, Zeke, Deuce, Luepke. If it were me I'd keep Freeman over Zeke, but the GM is a 'tard so that wont happen

WR (6)- Lamb, Cooks, Tolbert, Turpin, Brooks and Flournoy. Not sure if Lamb counts officially as he is holding out, and Cooks has left camp for "personal reasons" and I havent seen if he returned yet. Brooks DNP yesterday so safe bet he is on the team. Flournoy will never clear waivers to PS. Really like Kelvin Harmon and hope we can stash him on PS. If something is up with Cooks and he doesnt return, getting a veteran WR is a must since it appears Lamb wont be here week 1. (Thanks alot dumbass GM)

TE (4) - Ferguson, Schoonmaker, Stevens, Spann-Ford. I wasn't overly impressed with Spann-Ford but he has size and physicality, and Hendershot is a proven knucklehead. Stephens has upside as a receiver but his lame fumble last night was a turn off. Won't be surprised if there's another 4th TE option off waivers to be honest.

OL (9)- Guyton, T Smith, Beebe, Martin, Steele, A Richards, Bass, Hoffman, Thomas. Ball had a decent camp but I think Waletzko played himself off the roster last night and both of them have had several years now. They can go with 9 because Beebe and Hoffman can both play G/C, Richards can play T/G and likely to be swing guy on game day. Bass is a really solid player (esp for a backup) and he might have trade value as he could def start for some teams. Thomas is more of a PS guy but he does have upside. They could potentially go with 8 here due to the position flex so many of our guys have.

DL (8)- DLaw, Odiggy, Mazi, Kneeland, J Phillips, Joseph, Golston, Vet acquisition. Parsons will obviously play DE a lot but I am counting him at LB. Lawson did nothing last night to make me think he is a certainty. Fehoko has been terrible. 7th rd pick Rogers is a PS guy, esp with them getting Phillips and Joseph. They desperately need another DE that can rush the passer. Kneeland has bright future but he's a rook.

LB (6)- Parsons, Kendricks, Overshown, Clark, Liufau, Buddy Johnson. Damien Wilson might stick if they keep 7.

CB (6/5)- Diggs, Bland (going to temp IR), Lewis, Carson, Scott, Booth or Hall. I don't think Booth belongs but with Bland going to IR they have to keep an extra one for now and it will prob come down to him or Hall (who looked better IMO). Scott looks improved over his rookie yr.

S (5)- Wilson, Hooker, J Thomas, Bell, Mukuamu or Wood. Mukuamu has some advantage of being able to play some at S or CB or inside on the slot, but Wood made plays in all 3 games and had a couple of picks to go along with some nice hits.

ST (3)- Legend Aubrey, Anger and Sieg
At best I can go 52/53 now. Scott gone.

There were a handful of guys drafted the prvious 3 yrs under Quinn, that supposedly he "pounded the table for"

2021- Kelvin Joseph, Nashon Wright and Chauncey Golston. Joseph and Wright were both dreadful and neither are here. Golston is a rotational DL. I don't give Quinn any credit for Parsons, the scouts loved him and they took the guy after the two CB's Quinn wanted were picked before we went on the clock.

2022- Sam Williams and Daron Bland. Williams showed flashes and had huge upside, but tore his ACL. Bland is a bonafide probowl CB

2023- Mazi Smith, Viliami Fehoko & Eric Scott. Smith is a huge question mark. Fehoko was putrid and cut, and Eric Scott just got cut as well.

Hopefully he has as much success building the Foreskins roster as he did ours.

We lose Williams and then Bland, and they get all these guys back for week one:

Doesn't this make Lamb the highest paid non quarterback player in the league?!

Most of the people who cover the team think Lance has to have a huge game to win the #2 job now. Even though he (Lance) played better last week, they all seem to believe Rush is firmly entrenched as the game day #2
Lance is horrible. Sure he showed a little flash, what quarterback doesn't. But 5 picks in a single game. No way will he be starting behind Prescott. That's Cooper's position set in stone. Be smart if they traded Lance to save $5.31 million in cap. Big mistake acquiring Lance. He has no umf!Screenshot_20240826_153114_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20240826_153102_Chrome.jpg

We'd have to pay it anyway, it's guaranteed. Plus what do you think we'd get for him? We gave up a 4th just to kick the tires.

He's highly skilled and has all the tools throws a pretty ball he just needs honing. Just needs more time I think he can be something.

Yep, he's here for another yr and they can watch him every day, then figure out what to do with him next offseason.

Worst case scenario is he signs with someone else next yr in free agency, and we'd likely get a comp pick for him in April 2026

Reports saying the Broncos are talking to "multiple teams" about veteran RB Samaje Perine.

Wonder if we are one of them.

The team has been very tight lipped about Zeke all training camp and preseason, but people who have watched them every day have said he looks pretty ordinary at best. If we make a move for a vet RB, it's a good bet that Zeke is gone.

Really Jerry? REALLY?
All right then Wise Man Jones, riddle me this. If you were just the gm and not also the owner, how many time would your ass have been fired?

uh yeah Jerruh...your record for success is unmatched in the history of football. No other GM's could have been employed for nearly 3 decades with this type of awesomeness.

There were some really smart football men who traded a ton to get this guy - clearly there's something there. Plus I trust Fat Mike with QB development look what he did taming Favre and grooming Rodgers and he's getting the best possible out of Dak. I'm okay with having Lance in the room and on the practice field and as an emergency backup to the backup.
