League office announced the Bills-Bengals game will not be played this week.

Not sure what they can do about this and it definitely has an impact on AFC Playoff seeding. No matter what they do someone is probably going to complain about the outcome.

Doesn't seem possible you could have them continue the game sometime next week, 1) it'd be an ultra short turnaround from Sunday and 2) even worse it'd create an ultra short turnaround for the WC games.

If they simply cancel the game it seems like that creates a lot of headaches too.

It will put the Bills likely as the #2 seed and probably hand the North to the Bengals, but the Bills are going to have a hard enough time preparing for Sunday, much less a possible 3 games in the next week and a half. You can't ask that of them, especially depending on Hamlin's progress in that time.
What I think they will do: Delay deciding until after this weekend's games. Then, depending on how much impact the outcome would have, they'll talk to the teams about finishing it Tuesday or Wednesday.

Well, if two teams directly involved in the division title and HFA discussion play one less game than everyone else (in this case KC and Baltimore) then yeah, it kind of does matter.

That said, NOBODY should be playing 17 games. It's ridiculous there's an odd number of games and teams cannot keep players healthy enough. Hell they had trouble doing it for 16 games.

And Goodell and owners answer to the odd number of games will be "we need that 18th game!!!!!!!!"
