Hearing the #Cowboys "love" #SouthernCal OT Tyron Smith and if he works out well could be their guy at pick 9 #NFLDRAFT

Am on board with it, love his potential and huge upside. Would be a tremendous upgrade over Colombo from day one and a potential probowler down the road.

Probably moves to LT at some point early in his career, maybe they move Free back to RT. But I'd feel much better about our OL with Smith and Free than with Colombo and Free.

I'm going to go out on limb here and say dbair will like our draft class.

....and all of our FA moves.

I'm not sure how I feel about this particular prospect. Sounds like a decent player.

Personally, I don't like the idea of taking an OT in the top ten unless he is a top flight prospect. I'd rather trade down.

There have been a lot of really good tackles drafted in the top 10 in recent years.

I don't know where people got the idea you shouldn't draft one high, but it's wrong.

Jerry could do a lot worse at #9 than picking this guy so I am on board.

I don't buy it. It's too early for this report. If we really "loved" him, I don't think it'd be known. Especially to Will Bunting. I've never known that guy to have ties to the Cowboys.

I dont remember who it was or even where (might have been over at CZ) but someone else has been posting for awhile that Cowboys scouts had been closely watching Tyron Smith all last season.

It was probably cowboyjoe. Do you remember if the posts had ZONERS in them?

I'm not against taking a tackle top ten, I don't think Smith is a top ten guy.
