I've got to go back to relying on superstitious bullshit, so I am not going to watch the games anymore and just DVR them and hope me watching live jinxes them
Worked!

Yep here too.Sure they had more help, but they were also all three better than this current trio.
Right, it's barely even the same playing field. Today the commonly used fast track fields would favor the Dallas teams of the 90s nicely, but were rare back then. It's nice to compare but it's not apples to apples on comparisons.
And he is, for his era. I don't think he survives Troy's '89 season.Aikman says Romo is a great QB.
You'd have to have a clue what he was talking about or "complaining" about (if he was even complaining), and you don't unless you had him MIC'd up to your computer or something. I still think he was pissed about the slack ass way the team played in the 4th qtr, making a game which should have been a massive blowout a nail biter.

Dez needs to learn to care about OPTICS.I don't know what he was saying but he was going back and forth with Dooley and it didn't look good. Very TO'ish. I'm usually defending Dez's passion but again, that didn't look good at all.

That's what I am saying. Today's fields are faster and easier on the limbs.Todays playing surfaces are vastly superior to the shit that was out there in the 80's and most of the 90's. The playing surfaces at Philly, NYG and Dallas were all pretty hard and not very forgiving. Philly had probably the worst artificial surface in sports. Those guys careers might have all went on another couple of good years had they not taken the pounding they did.
Oh I think he gets in, first ballot even if the vote were held today. If Romo doesn't make the HOF, I'll be surprised.
You understand that my argument wasn't that this current group is better? I said that the biggest difference was Jimmy Johnson. Although all 3 of the HOF'ers were better I don' think that difference is as big as the lack of leadership and coaching.
It hurts that he had a late start, but so did Kurt Warner
again, would need to know what he was saying...and we don't know
maybe it will come out in next few days...but I truly think he was pissed over the way they shit the bed in the 4th qtr with a nice lead
he wasn't complaining one iota when those other guys were scoring tds and was the first guy celebrating with them
If Romo doesn't make the HOF, I'll be surprised. It's about individual performance and he's through the roof when it comes to what he's done as a passer.
It hurts that he had a late start, but so did Kurt Warner(he absolutely should get in), one thing that will help his cause is I've noticed he's started to win over the media this year. I've never seen him get the kind of love he's gotten this year.
You can put his numbers(year by year)up against pretty much anyone not named Peyton Manning.
It all started on that drive that Murray lost 14 yards and they didn't attempt to even try for a score on 3rd down, they just ran a draw, but yeah, that's what set him off I think.
Warner was a two-time MVP, SB Champ/MVP and took two diff teams to the SB. How many modern-era QBs are in the HOF who never got their team to the SB? Can't be that many.
