This used to be done in march? Did it become more complicated?

stupid nfl network has to make a big deal out of everything, just give us the schedules through the team websites like they used to.

Probably another Goodell gem.

I'd be curious to know what the ratings are for the schedule release show. I know I've never watched one.

Kind of like the Pro Bowl announcement show. I could care less about that.

I thought they had it set for the 16th?

now they are not even giving us the schedule till later?

ridiculous.

They are having a hard time coming up with a schedule scenario that will have the Cowboys week 1 east coast, week 2 west coast, week 17 on road to NFC East rival (for what would be the 3rd year in a row)

Oh I have no doubt our schedule will be as it almost always is...week one open on road in some hornets nest stadium...week 17 close on road at NFC East team...

go look at the schedule and pick the 1 or 2 most difficult away games we have, our season opener will almost assuredly be one of those games...and what do you want to bet that both Redskin games come later in the season, when its more likely Griffin will be healed and playing like he is used to...they wont dare make that a week one or week two game...too important a game for them to potentially have to go without RGIII

I feel better going up against the Redskins with Kiffin/Marinelli and the 4-3, than Fat Rob's crap defense.

NFL to reveal schedule Thursday
Updated: April 16, 2013, 12:47 PM ET

ESPN.com news services

NFL will announce the 2013 regular-season schedule Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, league spokesman Greg Aiello announced through his Twitter account.

Among the anticipated dates to be announced is the opponent for the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens in the season-opener on Thursday, Sept. 5. The Ravens will open on the road because of a scheduling conflict with the Baltimore Orioles, who are scheduled to play the Chicago White Sox at 7:05 p.m. ET on that date. The NFL, Major League Baseball and the two teams were unable to reach a compromise to allow the Ravens to open at home.

Among the scheduled 2013 road opponents for Baltimore is the Denver Broncos, which if scheduled for the opener would set up a rematch from the 2012 playoffs and also feature the return of linebacker Elvis Dumervil to Denver.

The Ravens will host the New England Patriots in a rematch of the AFC Championship Game, although Baltimore has a much different look after making several roster changes.

The NFC Championship Game teams also will face off when the Atlanta Falcons travel to play the San Francisco 49ers. Falcons receiver Roddy White said last week on "ESPN First Take" that he considers his team the best in the NFC, despite its loss to the 49ers in last season's conference title game.

Other intriguing matchups in 2013 include the return of Andy Reid to Philadelphia as the coach of the the Kansas City Chiefs.

Peyton Manning also will have a homecoming as the Broncos are scheduled to visit the Indianapolis Colts, the team with which he won four MVP awards and led to a Super Bowl title.

Manning will also face off against his brother, Eli Manning, when the Broncos visit the New York Giants.

Several other matchups will be attractive due to high-profile free-agent signings this offseason:

Manning's new teammate, Wes Welker, will be under the spotlight when the Broncos visit the Patriots, the team with which he became a prolific wide receiver and Tom Brady's favorite target.

Safety Ed Reed will face the Ravens for the first time in his career when the Houston Texans, his new team, visit Baltimore.

Greg Jennings' return to Green Bay will be an anticipated matchup after the longtime Packers receiver signed with the rival Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings also will travel to face the Seattle Seahawks and will have to defend dynamic receiver Percy Harvin, who was traded by the team this offseason.

Also, Mike Wallace will make his first visit to Pittsburgh as an opposing player when the Miami Dolphins visit the Steelers.

Finally, if the New York Jets and Buccaneers are able to agree to a trade that sends star cornerback Darrelle Revis to Tampa Bay, he would make his first appearance at MetLife Stadium as an opposing player as the Bucs are scheduled to visit the Jets.

The NFL announced 2013 home and away opponents for each team last December.

Alright.

This coupled with the fact that I found aerosmith's pump, motley crue's dr.feelgood and Tom petty's damn the torpedoes on vinyl in near mint condition for a couple of bucks make me a happy camper. Time to make a crown royal black and coke.

Roddy white is doing his best packers impersonation a la 2008.

NFL schedule out tonight.

My guess for us- open season at New Orleans. It'll either be the late FOX game or a SNF game.

I still say they send us to Philly for a fox 3:15 game to be the homecoming team for chip Kelly. It's eagles cowboys, it's the first game without Reid, it's the offense that is supposed to make unicorns real, chip Kelly got the best of kiffin.

I really see us opening there. I could see us closing at ny or finishing at home against Washington.

Jets, Bucs have parameters set for Darrelle Revis trade

Are the New York Jets close to moving Darrelle Revis? It appears so.

The Jets have granted the cornerback permission to visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and take a physical, a Jets source told NFL.com's Albert Breer. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news. Breer reported that the physical is expected be given Sunday.

The Revis-to-Buccaneers reports have been all over the place. It recently was reported that the Bucs were getting impatient with the slow-moving Jets. Other reports had the Jets prepared to make a move before next week's draft.

The Jets seemed to be asking for too much early, but they might want to take what they can get in terms of draft picks next week. Getting the physical out of the way allows for an immediate deal to be reached.

Revis is rehabbing from a torn ACL he suffered last season. The Buccaneers, who will want to know as much about the knee before committing to a trade for Revis, hold the No. 13 slot in the 2013 NFL Draft and likely would have to give up that and a second-rounder. Another later pick is probable. The Jets already own the No. 9 spot.

What does Rex Ryan think about the news? We knew you'd ask. Rapoport reported that Ryan "expected it," according to a source who regularly speaks to Ryan.

Revis and the Buccaneers have been working on a long-term contract for several days, sources briefed on the process told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Substantial progress has been made, Rapoport reports, and the Buccaneers seem comfortable enough to make the trade, knowing Revis wouldn't be a one-year rental. The physical is thought to be the trade's final piece before everything comes together.

UPDATE: The Jets and Buccaneers have agreed on the trade, Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole reported Sunday morning. The deal should be finalized by Sunday night or Monday morning, according to Cole. Breer reported that the Buccaneers and Jets have worked out trade parameters, according to a source briefed on the situation, and the Buccaneers have the framework for a contract in place with Revis.

They need OL bad. Both their starting guards from the past few seasons are gone (assuming they don't resign Brandon Moore)

That guy Ducasse they drafted a few yrs ago has been a major bust.

Wow that would be an insane interior oline. Fun to think about but they have holes at about every position. Prob not smart using 2 top 15 picks on interior players
