Way too high for McDonald. Every bit of film I've seen on him has been littered with bad reads. He looks to have very good closing speed but that won't help him in the NFL if he doesn't know where the hell he is. IMO he's not as good as some of the safeties that have gone in the top half of the first round recently.

Yep I would too. You almost have to create a spot for him because he doesn't have the traditional size to play safety and may not be fast enough to cover NFL WR's. He just makes plays. The closest way I can think of utilizing him would be the way Dick LeBeau uses Polamalu.

You'd put him up there with Earl Thomas and Eric Berry? IMO a better comparison would be Kenny Phillips Dashon Goldson which still isn't bad. Diagnosing plays is something that can be corrected unless his instincts are flat out terrible which I don't think they are. I haven't seen enough of him to really evaluate his COD skills but with his closing ability they don't need to be spectacular.

No, I would not put him with Berry or Thomas. I'd rank Eric Reid from LSU up there but still not as high as those 2. I think TJ could go right around where Kenny Phillips went, late 1st round.
