The secondary for getting torched on the game winning drive.

Your right, but that wouldn't of happened if Roy hadn't fumbled the ball.

He should of just went to the ground instead of trying to score like he did. He didn't see the safety coming.

And instead of switching the ball to his other hand, he should of just kept it in the left hand and covered it up with both hands.

Then fallen to the ground. It's not hard to figure out. He was careless and it cost us the game.

The whole team. If they were almost perfect, it would of been a W.

Yes, Roy fumbled. BUt, Dallas still had the lead.

Terence Newman is the bigger fucking goat for giving up the long ball when YOU KNOW not to give up the deep, let em get the under. FUck, he pisses me off.

I understand being upset at the secondary, but if Roy doesn't fumble that drive the Saints put on wouldn't of happened or mattered.

Yes, True, but, if you want a championship in Dallas, that defense needs to make that stop. And they didn't.

This entire comment makes me think you didn't see the game. He was getting tackled from the right so he had the ball in his left hand when the safety came in behind him and stripped the ball. He was in the process of going to the ground when it happened.

Roy switched the football from his right to left hand during the play. He saw the defender on his right closing in and switched it, not realizing there was a defender on the other side too. What he should have done is cradled the ball with both hands.

You can't make an excuse for it. That was the game right there. The one thing he can't let happen, he did.

Terrance Newman is done. The guy has Lost what little he had.

Probably due for a new contract to be highest paid DB in the league according to Jerry.

The only thing Newman ever had was crap playing opposite him so QBs didn't need to throw to his side of the field

Mike Jenkins was absolved today. Next week, he'll get victimized again.

Garrett also accepting that penalty like a dunski.

3rd and 11 or 4th and less than 1. How many times did we stuff the Saints for zero gain or a loss today? Maybe you forgot how easy they ran up the middle for tds inside the 10.

The Saints were gonna go for it, we probably wouldnt have stopped them and I think with the way their offense was playing, we had a far better chance of stopping 3rd and 11 rather than 4th and less than 1.

Honestly there werent any "goats"

It sux that RW fumbled, however their DB made a sensational play...it wasnt like the guy barely touched RW and the ball came flying out...it took all his strength to rip it out

Newman got beat for a bad play late, but nobody stops everything and Newman is playing at far less than 100%

Sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the other guys. They get paid to make plays too.

We fought hard, overcame a nightmarish start and had the super bowl champs on the ropes. BG (Before Garrett) this game would have been at least as bad as the Green bay game was. Its a tribute to his coaching and the changes he is making that we were in the position we were at 27-23.

We're going in the right direction. With some coaching staff tweaks, some personnel changes and a full offseason to implement more of how he wants things done, we can be in really good shape next yr.

Still, the Saints entered this game converting something like 50% of their third downs. And we're not exactly known as a great 3rd down defense.

I agree with all that except I hold Roy accountable for not putting both hands on the football. He's trying to say he did, but as Sterling Sharpe pointed out on NFLN, he didn't. He switched hands and then only after the defender started to strip the ball did he try to get his other hand around to hold onto it.

That was just a dumb play. The very first thing that goes through all of our minds if we're in that situation is cradle the football. Don't give them a cheap turnover. You don't have to get in the end zone on that play.

I'm usually on the side of Roy when he's being grilled by the fans. But this time I think it's completely warranted. He lost that game by his own stupidity and if I was a Saints fan I'd know we stole one.
