Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports the Giants will sign 35-year-old receiver Brandon Stokley tomorrow, two NFL sources confirmed. He’s a prototypical slot receiver, who will likely push second-year pro Victor Cruz for the third receiver job. And while his addition will add depth, according to a source it does not appear the signing is related to the injury to starter Hakeem Nicks.

Stokely, now entering his 13th NFL season, caught 31 passes for 354 yards in 11 games with the Seattle Seahawks last season. He was even more impressive in the playoffs, where in two games he caught 12 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns.

I actually think it'll be a good signing for them, unfortunately.

Stockley is a reliable receiver that knows how to get open. Might hurt their special teams however, as I can't imagine he'll contribute there at all.

I'm trying to decide what this means for my fantasy team, I have Eli and Nicks.

It shouldn't affect Nicks at all. It only helps Eli.

It was obvious on Sunday that Eli didn't have many receivers he could trust. Nicks, Manningham, and now Stokley will be those guys.

Stokley will fill in for Steve Smith. Victor Cruz dropped an easy reception on third down that would've netted a 1st and put the Giants in at least field goal range, early in that game.

Hixon was good in preseason and was supposed to replace Smith.

It's a good thing they don't have the other Manning throwing to him again...Although he's not doing much of anything these days either....
