Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports the Giants will sign 35-year-old receiver Brandon Stokley tomorrow, two NFL sources confirmed. He’s a prototypical slot receiver, who will likely push second-year pro Victor Cruz for the third receiver job. And while his addition will add depth, according to a source it does not appear the signing is related to the injury to starter Hakeem Nicks.
Stokely, now entering his 13th NFL season, caught 31 passes for 354 yards in 11 games with the Seattle Seahawks last season. He was even more impressive in the playoffs, where in two games he caught 12 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
