Why Jerry Jones says Cowboys kicker's job is not in jeopardy

Two weeks and two missed field goal attempts by David Buehler, but it sounds as if he will get another week as the Cowboys' kicker.

"My intuition is to be real patient there," owner and general manager Jerry Jones said.

Buehler has missed from 34 and 44 yards in the first two weeks. The 44-yarder on Sunday was hooked badly when the Cowboys trailed, 20-17. He made kicks of 28 and 48 yards but that is moot. Last year the kicking game cost the Cowboys and through two games it has cost the Cowboys.

Why would Jones be patient?

"Because I want to," he said. "That's what my instincts tell me."

Matt Stover, John Carney, Kris Brown or any other kicker out there, it doesn't sound like you'll get a call from the Cowboys this week.

F your instincts. Your instincts also told you this line would be okay. It's clear that Romo and Garrett knew it wouldn't hold up. You can tell the difference between this years game planning and recent years. A lot of playing not to lose instead of going out there trying to win.

lol Oh F me. lol

His intuition. Hey everybody! Jerry's intuition is to keep this player. That means something, right? I mean he's been outstanding with this football thing hasn't he?

I can not believe people don't call him out on his bullshat.

Who the hell cares about the gut feel of a God awful two decades of failure General Manager? An executive buying his way into the gig.

F you and your intuition.

It's amazing. How the hell don't the writers follow with...."Uh, excuse me, Jerry...but why should we care what your instincts are? You have a terrible track record as a GM."

Call up your Mom right now. Ask her how she feels about David Buehler. Her response will be an meaningful as Jerry's.

She said something about him skipping school.

Seriously though. Even the strongest pro Jerry supporter has to admit that there is something seriously wrong with this organization. That you can have so many all world players at so many positions, but they have no clue how to put it together. None.

That this happens year after year, although it hasn't been this bad this early in a while, Jerry can keep rolling out the same product across the board and not catch any shit for it?

The team is as stupid as I believe Jones is football wise. That tells me he is way too close to these players. Brilliant business man, football ignorant. I said it earlier, I think Jerry is guilty of being a fan, honestly. I think he sees these players and wants to believe that they will do what we all hope. It just doesn't work like that.

Meh, whatever. Same ole shit, different year.

I am serious.

Jerry Jones is not a football guy. He's also an ego driven control freak. Having him and his son running this team is a ginormous disadvantage.

Well then that means the team is not stupid, because Jones is not football-wise.

In Jerry's defense... and I feel sick saying this, even though I've supported him, he has given the coaches what they needed to win. Yeha, he's fucked up on the Oline, but I've seen teams with OCs that had to deal with worse Olines and far less overall talent but were able to do more.

Garrett is not a genius. He's the most overrated, overhyped---not so much anymore, and overpaid OC.

Take a look at the Dolphins, outside of Marshall at the skill positions, the Cowboys have overall better talent and yet Sparano and Co. are able to get the most out of those guys.

Isn't Kris Brown on IR? Or didn't he have an injury settlement?

Would we even be eligible to sign him?

Fuck Jerry, and this fucked up organization.

Who isn't pissed off this morning, the only kick I got out of yesterdays games is the fact the Giants and Skins lost.

I am pissed off as well. But, let's just maintain here. Alot of football left and we have seen this team turn it on and win some games.

I don't agree one bit with what Jerry said.

0-2 and underachieving? EVERY job is in JEOPARDY as of right now is what He should of said.

It's cool. Jerry's instincts have this under control.
