No guarantee either will be a starter. In fact, ideally, neither of them will be.

But.... if you had to pick one of them to be a starter, which would you have more faith in?

Why ideally with Kowalski? He's shown to be very good at both posiitons in the limtied opportunites that he's had.

I can't decide if Kowalski really played well, or just played a lot less shittier than Costa.

Fair enough. I'm holding out judgement on Scandrick until Henderson wors with him. However, I think he's better at slot CB. I like Scandrick, and really believe that he is better than alot of people on this board thinks of him.

No love for Victor Butler yet.

He couldn't beat out Spencer, but then again... because Spencer is a former 1st round pick, and Butler was a 4th, there's probably nothing he could do that would let him break into the starting lineup. Jerry and the coaching staff are wired (wrong) like that.

Really liked what I saw from Kowalsi in limited duty. With a full offseason to get stronger and learn more from a technqiue standpoint, he could be an interesting player for us for awhile.

Scandrick has the coverage skills and tackling ability to be a decent enough CB. Hopefully Henderson can teach him some ball skills. If so he can be more than adequate.

Victor Butler was one of the more disappointing players on the team this yr IMO. Really looked like he might be a solid contributor going into the season, then basically vanished.

so none of them can improve, ever?

Absolutely, but it is clear Oscan and butler are good role players..

And the same thing that brings optimism on killer kowalski should also bring a negative view, we just haven't seen him. With extended playing time does he become Doug free or Corey procter?

We saw more of Kowalski this yr than we saw of Costa in 2010
