it's got to be some combination of choice, miles, and our offensive line right?

I'd say Garrett needs to take a class on how to call an offense with certain types of leads.

thought the late game play calling was perfect. perfect situational football. you're protecting a lead with an erratic qb and your defense has been awesome?

damn right you run it up the gut until they're out of time outs.

of course when you get stuffed twice and then "commit" a "false start penalty" to put you in 3rd and 18, what cam you do but run it again and turn it over to your amazing defense? garrett played it right.

but new england was just better than us. we played hard, pushed them to the brink of their first home loss in years....they are just a better team. sometimes you just got to tip your hat to the opponent and admit you're not on their level yet.

It's hard for me to accept your arguement for Garrett's play calling.

Last week, yes. Run the ball. Bleed the clock. You're at home, you have a huge lead. Don't let the win slip away.

This week, no. You're on the road, you've got a 3 point lead. The guy on the sideline thrives in these types of situations, keep him on the sideline. He wants the ball with two minutes left. You have to get a first down. You get one first down and the ball game is over. You go in and beat a team that hasn't lost at home in forever.

That's the way I look at it.

I think after the fact, in doing the math, any 3 and out by the Cowboys was plenty of time for Brady. 3 runs, or 3 passes, that was enough time. So I believe they could have taken a chance throwing it. A WR screen has a low percentage of miscue and gives Dez or Miles a chance at a 1st down on YAC.

Big picture for me, and what I told my family was all we have to do is finish with a better record then the Eagles, Giants, or Redskins. There was no choke, bum, or shithead in this game.

But did you tell your family about us?

I can't wrap my head around the thought process of Garrett on the last real possesion.

I've never seen a OC run 3 straight times with the other team having all it's time outs and a 2 minute warning. Usually you see a team TRY to get that ONE first down to seal the win.

I'm sure it's happened before, but damn.

With our line and the way they run block, Garrett had to have known it was a losing proposition running on 1st and 2nd down. We'll never know what his plan was on 3rd down, the false start pretty much dictated that we screen or draw there.

Brady could have done what he did in 60 seconds and no timeouts TBH.

Witten in the flat, or WR screen was probably the way to go. And maybe despite what people think you CANT play like a conservative puss and always win. As evidenced by our 2nd to last possession and their last possession

I'm fine with a run but he almost sent the goal line formation out there.

Here's an idea. Dallas has a weak line that can't block 3-4 guys........lets put 7 on the line, allow the Patriots to put 7-8 in the box and run right up the middle.

He does similar shit in the Redzone when he goes shotgun.

I'm getting pretty confident when I say that teams know when Dallas is going to run. I'm gonna re-watch all the games later in the week and see if my suspicions are correct.

I have to agree with this also. He essentially kills us in the redzone. He's a great coach between the 20s, but then something goes haywire in this play selection. My other issue is definitely what Sheik is talking about. He seems to find a new way to screw up his playcalling each week.

What was the penalty disparity today? We are still so undisciplined. I'm just not a Garrett fan at all.

Love me some Rob Ryan though. The D has looked pretty good to me and players seem to respond to him well.

not for nothing but Mcbriar couldve put that last punt Inside the 10

He kicked a 64 yard punt down to the 8. I'd say he did pretty good for what we needed. The coverage team gave up a 12 yd return to Welker.

If he'd have pinned them at the 10, the only thing that would have changed is Brady would have had 10 more yards on his final stats.
