Unless they lose picks via trades, the Cowboys will more than double their current draft class with five picks on Saturday. Their initial selection is No. 110 overall, the 13th pick in the fourth round.
Let's recap. The Cowboys have addressed their offensive line (Tyron Smith) and linebacker (Bruce Carter) depth, and added a running back (DeMarco Murray) that could very well take Marion Barber's job and push Tashard Choice for touches. We'll see how that position shakes out.
Which other positions could use help?
Interior offensive line. The Cowboys liked prospects like Baylor's Danny Watkins and Lehigh's Will Rackley, but Watkins went late first round and they chose DeMarco Murray five picks before Rackley. With Kyle Kosier a free agent, they could use some depth and youth at guard/center.
Defensive line. Still haven't taken a defensive end or nose tackle for Rob Ryan's defense. Keep in mind that nose tackle Josh Brent, a supplemental seventh-rounder last year, could be a real steal. And ends Jason Hatcher and Stephen Bowen could merely be restricted free agents. But a solid run stuffer and another pass rusher would be helpful if Marcus Spears isn't re-signed.
Defensive back. No corners or safeties yet. Keep in mind both are relatively weak positions in this year's draft. They could address either spot on Day 3, but Stephen Jones did say they feel good about their corners. And safety could be a free agent target at some point. (Michael Huff?)
Receiver. Even if Roy Williams is back, Dez Bryant and Kevin Ogletree are coming off surgeries. Sam Hurd wasn't tendered. The Cowboys should look hard at taking a wideout, maybe a speedy one with return skills.
