There already has been one significant change within the NFC East.
Washington is 2-0 within the division, having beaten the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia. A year ago, the Redskisn lost all six divison games.
``To make the playoffs and to be good in this league, you have to win division games," tight end Chris Cooley told reporters after Sunday's win against Philadelphia. ``We're going to have to continue to play well, but winning at home against Dallas and then here is huge.''
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has made division games a high-priority item. Shanahan and his staff devoted a considerable portion of the off-season to video reviews of Philadelphia, the New York Giants and the Cowboys.
