When I was a kid I used to love summer. Now I fricken hate it.

We still have 50 days to go until Camp opens. 50!

56 days until the first pre-season game (not us) but at least it's football.

81 days until the NCAA Football season starts. Games that matter, two days later, so 83 days really.

87 days until the Cowboys/Giants game.

Eh, the Canadian Football League kicks off in 2 days.

The offseason really is dragging. Feels like its been 4 months since the draft.

The off-seasons have been longer lately.

The 2010 season -- it more or less ended sometime in October, didn't it?

The 2011 season ended before the playoffs began.

During off-seasons past, I used to get excited and hopeful about the upcoming season. I don't think it will happen at all this off season.

I simply don't trust the judgement of the franchise anymore, not after the boneheaded OL decisions they made last off season.

I also don't trust the hyping of players that is reported in the media. The way the hype usually begins is that a reporter asks a coach about a specific player. The coach then says something favorable (what else is the coach going to say? of course the coach wants to encourage the player ...) Then the reporter writes something encouraging about the player. ... information that comes from this cycle is essentially meaningless.

That said, I go on vacation end of June, when I get back its only 3 weeks or so till TC. Then only two weeks from there till first preseason game, and its on national TV.
