Ray Edwards made last year's divisional round win against the Cowboys his coming out party with a ridiculous stat line: eight tackle, five quarterback hurries, three sacks, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

Most of the work was done against right tackle Marc Colombo, who was playing in his second game in two months because of a fractured left fibula and high ankle sprain.

Edwards told reporters that he holds Colombo in low esteem.

``I don't know him personally, but as a player I think he's kind of dirty," Edwards told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. ``Does some dirty things. You have to have that fight in you to play this game. I guess that's his way of having that fight in him."

Edwards said that Colombo's tricks include pulling the facemask.

``It happens in the battle of the game,'' Edwards said. ``I'm not a crybaby about it. I'll continue to play. It happens both ways.'

Edwards wore out Colombo in a divisional-round playoff game last season. In the Minnesota rout, Edwards had three sacks, eight tackles with two for a loss, five quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. Edwards went against Colombo for most of the game.

It was Colombo's second game after a two-month absence because of a broken left fibula and high ankle strain. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips admitted during training camp that the club probably rushed Colombo by having him start in the playoffs.

Colombo had trouble against Tennessee's front during last Sunday's loss. Of the Titans' six sacks, two could be pinned on Colombo.
