A Cowboys secondary desperate for healthy bodies is looking at options.

Cornerback Frank Walker will be at Valley Ranch later today for a workout. The eight-year veteran has played for four teams and was released by Tennessee coming out of training camp.

Walker was a sixth round pick out of Tuskegee University in the 2003 draft. He spent his first four years in the league with the New York Giants with stops in Green Bay, Baltimore and Minnesota afterwards.

Walker is primarily a backup, starting only 17 of 93 games in his career. One of his eight career interceptions came with the Vikings last season. He has forced three fumbles in his career.

The Cowboys are also weighing whether or not to bring Mario Butler up from the practice squad.

Injuries to Terence Newman, Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins left the Cowboys so thin at cornerback in Sunday night's loss that safety Barry Church was moved to cornerback for about 15 snaps.

I think he stinks personally. I wonder why they would go this route instead of butler? Maybe they think butler needs time to learn? plus you might have to release butler again in the future to get him back to the practice squad and maybe they dont want to do that yet?

Seems like the only connection......I just think he stinks.....but this is the situation we are in.

I really hope Newman and Bennett are ready to go......when Newman and scandrick are healthy it looks like we will be pretty good back there.

6'7, 380lbs and runs a 4.3 40. Nobody can run by him or around him. He intimidates passes in the air with his awesomeness.

Who did we add to the Practice Squad? Is Rucker even eligible for it anymore?

I'd wish we would go out and sign Deunta Williams, the Safety from UNC. He is taking a year off to rehab and try out for teams next year. I'd think he'd be better off rehabbing with a NFL team, NFL doctors, etc..namely us.
