Rocket ismail called it peak n pump, a technique that wr use to run full speed while only turning their head to find the ball, this allows you to continue running your route correctly and make adjustments if needed full speed.

Tory Holt breaks it down the same way and shows how austin did not do that.

So peter king and chris collinsworth can go fuck themselves for incorrectly putting it on romo as some sort of symbol that he is not a top level player or something.

here is rockets breakdown....click the link, then the blue arrow and give it a minute to listen to it.

Yeah. I was wrong for blaming Romo on that route that looked as if he over threw Austin.

I seen the replay and also heard through NFL Network and ESPN that Austin should've posted in more instead of posting out.

If he had done that the ball would've hit Austin right on the numbers.

Yep, thats the way it goes I guess.

On the second to last drive of the 4th qtr of the playoff game vs the giants Miles Austin was pressed in the slot by RW McQuarters, austin ran straight past him and there were no safeties around. It should have been a 60 yd touchdown and a game winner to austin.

instead, marion barber completely whiffed on the blitzing linebacker forcing romo to his right where marc columbo could not hold his block laterally and romo pumped and then took the sack. We punted.

that is my worst memory besides crayton hesitating on the third down where he should have been the modern day tony hill.

I think he still could have made the play. Lay out for it at least. Come one, the game is on the line and you can't give me a fucking dive for the game winner?

I didn't even need to know the route. It was clear from the 1st replay he ran away from the ball while it was in air. The shortest distance between two paths Is a straight line

Miles has more gaffs than Dez. He's lucky his mom was white and he's light skinned

Kind of romo's career in a nut shell.
He's getting them there but they're just not good enough. And he's not good enough to carry them like peyton or Brady . He's like top 6, Jesus I'll take that.
