Tony Romo took a pain-killing injection before the game for his bruised ribs, but he wore no extra padding other than his normal rib protection. ( You could've fooled us!)

"Yeah, we talked about it throughout the week, just seeing how it would feel and yeah, it got to that point [where he needed a shot]," Romo said.

He said it was in a different spot than where he took a shot two years ago after fractured a rib against the 49ers. It did not wear off late in the game.

"It was fine. It was good," Romo said.

Romo completed 30 of 42 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown for a 99.1 passer rating. He lost a fumble on a sack from behind by Ron Parker.

He was only 8-of-15 for 69 yards in the fourth quarter, but he would not blame his rib injury.
"It was both coverage and about where they were," Romo said. "More than anything, they did a good job on certain man-to-man routes, getting in the way, getting to spots. You’ve got to fit the ball in down there, but at the same time you’ve got to protect it, so it’s a fine line."

I think all fans should take a pain-killing injection before watching these games.
