Three Cowboys were named Pro Football Weekly/Professional Football Writers of America
2011 All-Rookie Team.
Kicker Dan Bailey, right tackle Tyron Smith and running back DeMarco Murray were selected. Bailey converted 32 of 37 field goal attempts after joining the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent.
Smith, a 2011 first-round draft choice, distinguished himself as the Cowboys' best lineman, as he allowed 9.5 sacks and committed only seven penalties, according to STATS LLC.
Murray, meanwhile, burst on the scene in October. He rushed for 897 yards before fracturing his right ankle in a loss to the New York Giants in December. Murray also established a franchise record for most rushing yards in a game when he gained 253 in a victory over St. Louis.
