Adam posted this at CZ. Unbelievable.

I did this a few weeks ago and never got around to posting it, so I'm just going to throw it out now, before this season gets started. Basically, I watched every sack last season by DeMarcus Ware, Clay Matthews, James Harrison and Julius Peppers (the top four pass-rushers on NFL Network's top 100 list). I noted when and where the sack occurred, who was blocking on each play and how long it took from the snap of the ball until the quarterback was under wraps (even if he didn't go down right away).

Here's the breakdown. Feel free to draw your own conclusions --

great job by adam. I would tell him If I posted there!!!

Not a very impressive list of tackles but that doesnt matter, he has beaten everyone who ever lined up against him.

and the idiots at the zone who run around saying he doesnt get sacks in important situations and late in the game should feel pretty awkward now...

Once a decade talent.

Where in the name of the football gods do you go to find that much information? I have a feeling Adams only friend is his palm.

Good work by Adam there. Wonder what those dipshits who claim Ware never gets a "menaingful" sack will say now?

Nice list and everything, but I've seen Adam use stats to try and make people believe that Roy Williams was a great safety, even toward the end of his stint in Dallas.

He did get blamed for virtually every bad play though, even on some where he clearly had nothing to do with the outcome.

He absolutely was a great player his first 2-3 yrs in the league though. He made a ton of plays and he was definitely feared by receivers coming over the middle.

His decline in play is one of the bigger mysteries in recent league history IMO. Even Parcells thought the guy had Hall of Fame type ability when he got here. Everyone saw the skill.

I still remember that INT Roy had against the Pigeons and then ran over McNabb on his way to the end zone.

Roy was a devastating player in college and his first few years in Dallas. I don't know if it was just coincidence or what, but when Kelly Rowland dumped him he seemed to lose his edge. I still would have rather re-worked his contract and kept him rather than sign that no-talent Sensabaugh to replace him.

Williams gained weight, coordinators started finding ways to get him mismatched on the field, league rules cracked down on his tackling techniques, and his confidence eroded away. In the end he was a shell of the player that burst onto the scene those first few years.

Maybe the guy became ultra depressed after that. You are right though, the drop off in play, particularly the really physical, violent plays he was so accustomed to making was really noticeable. Damn shame though.

Seriously, they believe that since he converted to Christianity that he quit going in for the kill as much and was thinking to much about the other guy and how a hit from him would possibly hurt them and he couldn't take it.

I don't think he ever tried to make RW31 look like a "great safety", but rather attempted to show that he wasn't as bad as people claimed. And he wasn't, really.

But Adam is a robot.

We couldn't even have this discussion if he had converted to Islam without having to go into hiding.
Well, yeah, because that would make him more violent, not a puss.

Right, guys? Right?
