If you expect anyone that is still available to cover at all, you are probably too optimistic.

Besides, Ryan wants tacklers first, not this mythical Ed Reed-type coverage player we all expect.

There's still a lot of players between a ProBowl ballhawk like Reed and a coverage liability like Goldson. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Where's this coming from? The guy's a pretty good, young, player. And maybe a better value than the 'name' safeties out there, with the exception of Weddle.
