At 5-0, you had to think they were contenders. But I'm thinking they're pretenders.

We had them down 17 points with 25 minutes left in the game before our collosal collapse. But prior to Romo Romoing, we were dominating them.

They've since lost two back to back home games against a good, but not really that impressive 49'er team, and an inconsistant Falcons team.

Here's their remaining schedule...

@ Denver
Bye
@ Chicago
Carolina
Green Bay
@ New Orleans
Minnesota
@ Oakland
San Diego
@ Green Bay

There are 7 very loseable games there...

They could easily be 10-6 on that schedule. Denver, Carolina, and Minnesota are wins and the final three games are winnable. If they go into the playoffs on a 4 game win streak they could be a dangerous wildcard match-up.

I don't think Denver or Minny are sure thing wins for them. Minny just played GB to a draw almost with Ponder in there, and Denver has Tebowmania runnin wild right now.

Minnesota does not know how to win. They've had the lead in several games but have not been able to pull it out. Tebow is not running wild for Denver. They beat Miami, that is all.

One thing I didn't take into consideration was that that Green Bay game will likely be meaningless for Green Bay, so Detroit could steal a win there.

I think @Chicago, Green Bay, @New Orleans, and San Diego will be their toughest games, obviously.

But I think Detroit isn't as good as their 5-0 record would've indicated at first glance.

I'm calling Detroit at 9-7, which will probably put them at the edge of the playoffs but, barring a lot of luck, they're left on the outside looking in.

Detroit has the tiebreaker over Tampa and Dallas if a tie happens between those three but not against Atlanta. I don't see anyone else on their schedule that matters for a tiebreaker.

Whether they "know how to win" or not, they looked good with Ponder in there and played the best team in football almost to a draw.

Tebow is a guy who simply knows how to win, and there's alot of buzz in Denver about the kid right now, whether they beat the Dolphins, the Packers, or the Rams.

Not saying they can't win both of these games, but i don't think they'll be two easy wins.

However, i hope they do lose these two, plus every other game for the rest of the year just to see how that raving lunatic Schwartz will react.

I hope they do but it looks like they'll be a good team for a while.

At least it will make Thanksgiving more interesting.

They beat the ever loving shit out of Tebow. He isn't winning games, the Denver defense is.

They were horrible today. Stafford looked like a deer in headlights when he couldn't get the ball to Calvin Johnson. Maybe they get better when they can get Best back on the field, but until then they're heading nowhere fast.
