Related items Former Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens may have millions of dollars in his bank account, but that apparently didn't stop him from noticing that $27,000 was missing from his Bank of America account. As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution pointed out, Owens has accused former employee Antonio Edwards of pulling money from his account each month to pay for the more than $2,100 a month apartment that Edwards was renting.
As the article noted, the rental company, Two Post Properties, turned over records that showed Edwards was making payments each month via the company's payment portal, and that a confirmation e-mail was being sent to the accused each month. Owens claimed he never gave Edwards access to the account. When records were confirmed by police, the property company, by law, had to return the stolen money to Owens, meaning he ended up getting everything back in the end.
With the lockout still hanging over the NFL, maybe players are starting to get serious about their financials While Owens did get his money back, based on the amount Edwards stole, it would appear it took him a while to notice what was going on.
