Some highlights of his most recent newsletter:
Paul Littleton from Bristol, Va. wonders, " Why do the Cowboys never throw the ball deep or at least try? Is it the scheme, the play calls, or is it the decision-making of Tony Romo? It seems to me all we have done is to compress the field and make the job of opposing defenses easier."
TAYLOR : You have to protect long enough to let Romo get a seven-step drop. You certainly didn't have confidence they could do that in the first two games. They took a couple of shots deep Sunday. If the protection holds up, they'll take more shots. That said, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin are strong enough and fast enough to turn short passes into long gains.
David Hughes asks, "If the poor play of Tony Romo had continued, would the Cowboys have considered a change at quarterback?"
TAYLOR : Are you serious? Do you really want Jon Kitna to start? Maybe the Cowboys could pick up Trent Edwards off waivers and start him? At worst, Romo was average the first two games compared to most quarterbacks. He was awful based on the standard of an elite quarterback that he has set for himself.
But however you slice, dice it or chop it up, he's among the best quarterbacks in the league. If you have a better option, fine. If not - and they don't - then a thousand times, no.
Paul Dolman from Fort Myers, Fla. writes, "Hudson Houck is supposedly one of the best offensive line coaches in the league. What can he try that hasn't been tried?"
TAYLOR : I don't know. Sometimes, it's not the coaches, it's the players. Sometimes, guys need to play better. Doug Free seems to be doing a pretty good job.
Andre Gurode and Leonard Davis need to be more consistent. Marc Colombo and Kyle Kosier are playing through injuries. They might be limited physically from playing their best football.
