Rotoworld:

NFL Network's Albert Breer suggests Cowboys LCB Terance Newman is not a sure thing to return in 2011.
The veteran still has three years and over $20 million remaining on his contract, including $8 million for 2011. While various injuries led to a more than poor 2010 campaign, there's no guarantee that he rebounds, and with such an inflated salary it wouldn't be surprising to see him get cut. Look for the Cowboys to focus on upgrading their secondary through the draft with or without Newman on board.

I'd rather just keep him. Especially if it means we don't waste a top 10 pick on a cornerback.

Well, if they get rid of Newman one of those corners will be drafted at 9.

And if both Prince and Patrick are gone we will look to Brandon Harris or a corner in the second.

Then again there's always Nnamdi Asomugha, but I'd rather we not spend that kind of money.

Agreed. I'd rather upgrade the safety positions anyway. Newman is not a terrible player, and certainly not the root of the problem.
