The New York Giants found themselves in a similar situation to the Cowboys with their running backs and have done things differently.

While the Cowboys continue to start Marion Barber, Felix Jones has received the bulk of the carries the last two weeks.

In New York, the Giants decided to switch the roles of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs, who had 835 yards on 224 carries last season and 1,000-yard seasons in 2007 and '08. Bradshaw is the Giants starter and has responded with 582 yards on 110 carries. He has eight runs of 20 yards or more and 29 first-down carries. Jacobs has 45 carries for 207 yards and four touchdowns.

At 5-9, 198 pounds, Bradshaw is faster than the plodding 264-pound Jacobs, but he has never had more than 163 carries in a season (that came last year).

"He's an outstanding runner," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "He gives you everything he's got. He's difficult to tackle. He's powerful. He can break tackles. He has the speed to go. He's another one of those very highly competitive, highly compassionate guys who has demonstrated this over the years."
