Did you all hear about that bit done by the Atlanta sports radio station where they had a fake Steve Gleason call in? Gleason has ALS and apparently wrote Peter King's MMQB this week.

Just listened to it, pretty cringe-worthy.

Would be one thing if it were funny at all, but it bombs and is super awkward the whole time.

I'm not sure why the third guy who was clearly uneasy (and not participating) got fired. You'd think the producer who gave this bit the green light would be the one to get canned above anything.

I guess there are some things TV can get away with that radio cannot. The fact that Gleason is a real person with real feelings is probably the difference.
