At this point, Cowboys fans are resigned to the possibility that the Pittsburgh Steelers could crash the Super Bowl party in North Texas.

The Steelers are, after all, have advanced to the AFC championship game for the 15th time in franchise history. By doing so, the Steelers passed the Cowboys for most conference title game appearances since the NFL and AFL merged before the 1970 season. The Steelers were able to catch and overtake their rival in the last 15 years, as the Cowboys have won only two playoff games since they ended the 1995 season by defeating Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XXX.

As the Cowboys became a dormant franchise, the Steelers have made six championship game appearances, won two world championships and now have six Super Bowl titles -- one more than Dallas has.

The thought that Pittsburgh could add another in Arlington in 19 days is enough to keep many a Cowboys fan up at night.

Meh.

Would prefer it not happen, but not exactly something I'd lose sleep over.

I never really saw the Steelers as that big of a rival. To me I feel like the 49ers are a bigger rival. We have played the 49ers more times in the playoffs, but the big thing is the 49ers are in the NFC with us. Also in the early 90s not only did we play the 49ers 3 times in a row in the NFC Championship but we also have a rival with them fighting to get the number one playoff seed. I remember back at that time always wanting the Cowboys to win and the 49ers to lose. But still I do want the Steelers to get beat in either the AFC Championship or Super Bowl because I don't want them to have 2 extra Super Bowl rings than us.
