According to Spags the 62 yard TD to Roy was originally a go route, but when Romo noticed one safety come into the box, he looked at Roy and smiled and Roy knew to adjust his route to a slant, or flash, and beat the jam.

That confirms to me that Romo and Roy are truly bonding if facial expressions are working.
