Former Ohio State star quarterback Terrelle Pryor isn't held in high regard by National, the largest scouting organization service for NFL teams.

The multi-dimensional Big Ten standout received a grade of 5.1 from National, ranking him as sixth-round to seventh-round material heading into what would have been his senior year, according to an NFL source with access to the grades.

Pryor opted to leave school amid major NCAA scrutiny for him and the Buckeyes program that led to coach Jim Tressel's resignation.

National annually grades over 1,400 draft eligible college seniors, providing information to nearly two dozsen NFL clubs for a fee of over $100,000 to compile the data.

Several teams also subscribe to BLESTO. And other teams like the Baltimore Ravens aren't associated with eithe well-respected scouting service.

A 9.0 is the highest possible grade for a blue-chip prospect with grades ranging as low as 1.0 for a player who isn't projected to play professional football.

A 7.0 grade usually connotes a first-round draft target with 6.0 or higher denoting a player who could go in the top 75 overall selections.

Last year, Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara received the top grade from National.

It was a 7.3 for him as well as Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn followed by Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich (7.2), who went undrafted following his bout with cancer, Miami defensive end Allen Bailey (6.9), Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller (6.9, Pitt defensive Greg Romeus (6.8), North Carolina defensive tackle Marvin Austin (6.7), Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder (6.7), Washington quarterback Jake Locker (6.7), Oregon State defensive tackle Stephen Paea (6.5), Boston College offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo (6.5) and Mississippi State defensive end Pernell McPhee (6.4) and Penn State offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski (6.4).

NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock recently forecasted Pryor as a middle-round selection in the NFL supplemental draft.

"I would set the over/under line on the fourth round," Mayock said.

Meanwhile, agent Drew Rosenhaus has been talking up Pryor since signing him last week.

"I expect him to be a first-round pick in the supplemental draft. This league needs quarterbacks. Are you kidding me, middle round for this guy?" Rosenhaus said.. "He's gonna be a great NFL quarterback."

Mayock envisions Pryor as a Wildcat possibility.

"He can be a package quarterback Year 1 while you develop his skills set," Mayock said. "Is he raw? Absolutely. Does he have a lot to work on? Yes, he does. That doesn't even get into all the intangibles off the field. ..

At 6-foot-6, 235 pounds with 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash and having won 31 of 35 starts for the Buckeyes, Pryor represents an intriguing blend of athleticism and skills.

"The kid's a playmaker," Mayock said. "He's a lot more comfortable outside the pocket. He's a big, talented kid. But he's been the No. 1 guy since he was about 11 years old, and I think he's gonna need to take a step back and really grind hard."

IMO, I don't think he makes it as an every down starter at QB in the NFL.

I think he's a Kordell Stewart type player and plays a couple of different positions, because he does have the athletic ability to compete at the next level just not as a pure passer.

Have they set a date for the Supp Draft? Or is this waiting for the lock out to lift as well?
